No one likes to think about death, let alone plan for it. By
using Advanced Funeral Planning, you relieve your family of having
to make important decisions during a period of great stress and
grief-a time when people aren't thinking very clearly and may not
know what to do because you never made your wishes known.
In some cases, some people wish to pre-plan their funeral to aid
surviving family members in making their wishes and requests known.
These details can be very specific or very basic. Our Staff is
available at no cost to assist you and your family in discussing
and recording your final wishes.
As families make advanced funeral plans, some also wish to complete
their arrangements by financially funding their selections. This is
done by establishing a funeral trust. The State of Wisconsin
Consumer Protection Lawas mandate that 100% of the funds you set
aside in a funeral trust will be held for funeral expenses. These
trusts are typically nontaxable, interest bearing accounts that are
recognized as a qualified exempt asset for Medical Assistance and
Title 19 programs. In the event that circumstances or wishes
change, your choices may be changed to reflect your preference, or
your entire trust may be transferable to any funeral home at any
time upon written request to the funeral home where the trust was
originally established. At no cost, a member of our staff is
available to assist you in tranferring and existing trust, or
completing your Advance Funeral Plans.
