Anna Marie Weber (nee Freitag), 94 years of age of Chilton, passed away May 1, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Chilton. She was born in Grafton on February 28, 1923, the daughter of the late John & Helena (Becker) Freitag.

She attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Grafton. Anna worked for Grob Bros. and Kiekaefer’s in Cedarburg and on October 5, 1946 she married Leroy John Weber; son of the late Jacob & Elizabeth (Lorge) Weber of Port Washington.

In 1963, they moved to Chilton where Anna was a seamstress at Weber’s Leather Goods and later Weber’s Store, Inc. until her retirement at the age of 75. She cherished her son Kenneth and daughter-in-law Sally, treasuring her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her hobbies included knitting, puzzles, playing cards, and traveling with her husband, especially to his Marine Reunions. Her sense of humor and smile endeared her to many.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law; grandchildren: Mark (Shawna), Nicholas (Fiancee Heather), Elizabeth, Catherine (Charles) Holinka and Victoria; great grandchildren: Jacob, Isayah, Abigail, Zoie & Evelyn; a sister: Frances Betz; and a sister-in-law: Ruth Klenner. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son; her brothers: Norbert & Clem, father-in-law & mother-in-law; sisters-in-law: Angeline Stanish, Sylvia Jacque & Alice Meyer; brothers-in-law: William Betz, Vic Meyer, Ed Jacque and Alfred Stanisch; a niece Karen Cate; and her nephews: Robert Stanisch and infant William Betz, Jr.

The family of Anna expresses gratitude to the following who cared for her: Calumet County Home Care and Hospice, Atrium Post Acute Care of Chilton, Dr. Hetzner, Lisa Schabach NPAP, Dr. O’Brien, Dr. Mendoza, and the Calumet Medical Center staff & emergency personnel.

Anna so loved her friends and the community at Uptown Commons and her family extends a special thanks to them all.
