Brent W Fortune
Apr. 18, 1979 - June 25, 2017
Brent W. Fortune, age 38, of Chilton, died on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at his home in Chilton. He was born April 18, 1979 in Appleton, son of William “Bill” and the late Beverly (Karshner) Fortune.
Brent was currently working at Grande Cheese as a Millwrite and Industrial Electrician.
Brent was someone who enjoyed the outdoors, especially time spent fishing or riding on a Harley through the countryside. Brent also loved tattoos; he even spent some time of his life as a tattoo artist, first testing his skills on his nervous, but trusting sister, Mindy.
For better or worse, Brent was extremely passionate about everything he did. He had an exuberant and daring personality but deep inside had a huge heart which was evidenced by his adoration for his dogs and his parrot, Mackadoo. Brent also cherished time spent with his kids, and especially looked forward to going to watch their sporting events and other extra curricular activities. He was also a wonderful brother to his 4 siblings and was a trustworthy friend to those he cared about.
Survivors include his father: Bill; grandmother: Blanche Fortune; his children: Justice, Phoenix & Scarlett who are at home with their mother, Jessica Fortune; his siblings: Mindy (Todd) Hidde, Jerry (Peg) Fortune, Billy Fortune, Brian (April) Fortune; nieces and nephews: Alicia (Brad), Kristin, Alexis, Alivia, Mason, Alana; and great nieces and nephews: Ethan, Kaylee & Carter. He is further survived by other family members and friends.
Brent was preceded in death by his mother: Beverly; his grandparents: Anne & Frank Karshner and Gordon Fortune; and a special brother-in-law: Josh Hannan.
Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Brent will be laid to rest in Craigsville, Virginia next to his mother. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 6:30 pm on Friday, June 30, 2017.
We will love you for ever and ever… May your wings guide you to eternal peace.

Brent was a fun person to have around. Brent shared parts of his life with everyone that he meet and made their lives better because of it.
Brent was very inquisitive about his carrier as an industrial electrician and was a great student to have in class for me.
Brent will be missed by me, Rest in Peace.

I still remember jumping on your parents trampoline with your brother and our friends. You'd show up and grab any sports ball you could find and chuck it at us just playing around. It led to one of our favorite games after school. RIP Brent. I'll miss our chats during my breaks at work when you'd stop in.
