Irene L Bruckner
Chilton, WI

Irene Lavina Bruckner, 93, of Chilton, passed on to her Heavenly home December 15, 2017, at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton. She was born November 24, 1924, in Charlestown, daughter of Delbert and Anita (Maguire) Molg. On October 26, 1941, she married her late husband, Norman Bruckner, at St. Augustine Church in Chilton, and they raised eleven wonderful children together.

Irene worked outside of their home as well as inside. Many people in Chilton will remember her for the many years she was an employee of the Chilton Theater and as a cook in the restaurant of the former Chilton Hotel. Irene also put in many years at the Fromagerie Bell Cheese Plant in Hilbert and Thiel Cheese in St. John.
Irene loved people and she was kind to those that met her. She combined that kindness and her work ethic to be a volunteer at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton for over 20 years. Her admiration extended beyond people and included many chihuahuas she had as pets over the years. People that know her could tell you that you would never see her without one of her little dogs. Occasionally she would leave her pets alone just long enough to grab some lottery tickets or to head to Oneida to gamble for a little while.

Irene is survived by her children: Carol Warden, Dennis (Linda) Bruckner, Kenny (Susie) Bruckner, Eugene Bruckner, Michael (Kathy) Bruckner, Danny Bruckner, Mary (Ronald) Hannan, and Sandy (Darin) Holden; 32 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; son-in-law: Robert Heyn; brother: Marvin; sisters-in-law: Lenora and Thresa.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; her parents; children: Anita Heyn, Jimmy Bruckner, and Charlie Bruckner; grandson: Josh Hannan; son-in-law: Gerald Warden; daughters-in-law: Karen Bruckner and Nancy Bruckner; sisters: Eva, Myra, and Delores; sisters-in-law: Irene, Betty, and Erma; brothers-in-law: Andrew, Amel, Elmer, Gustive, and Herbert.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm on Friday, December 22, 2017, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W Main St) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00pm until 2:00pm on the day of the service.

I remember my grandmother as a very caring and giving person. I know that my mother was very much like my grandmother and both of these great people left too soon. I will miss her and am sorry I was not informed sooner so that I could have attended the service.
With Love,
Matt Heyn

I remember Irene when she worked at Chilton Cinema. My son and I would go there and eat tacos!
