Martha Margaret (Muellenbach) Geiser, at a beautiful age of 96, died peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on Thursday evening  June 22, 2017.

She was born on July 15, 1920, daughter of the late Joseph and Regina Muellenbach.  She married Clarence Geiser on July 10, 1946 in Charlesburg and shared their lives together for over 64 years.  Working side by side, Martha and Clarence ran their dairy farm in the town of Charlestown. Martha  was  a kind and gentle woman who received great joy in being  compassionate  and sharing her love to others.  Once asked by her grandchild  how can she have so much love for all of us, she answered, “I have a big heart”.

Martha was known for her tasty cooking, canning, and baking; Yes, her kitchen was well used.  Her baking days included  “made from scratch Kuchens”  along with homemade breads. Martha was pleased watching her grandchildren  smile as they devoured her “best ever” Raspberry Freezer Jam.

Martha’s days were full and sometimes very exhausting.  However, in the midst of her busy life, there was always time for her faith in God. Sundays were a day of church and the rest of the week she prayed daily.  Martha practiced her Catholic faith with fellow parishioners of Good Shepherd Parish in Chilton.  She was a member of  the Christian Mothers in her younger years.  Towards the end of her life she was unable to attend Sunday mass, but even with Alzheimer’s, Martha could recite her prayers.

Martha endowed wonderful memories to her  survivors; 4 children: Harold Geiser of Chilton, Joseph (Jody) Geiser of Charlesburg, Donald (Ruth) Geiser of Chilton, and Linda (Ron) Alger of Chilton. The grandchildren who were blessed to have Grandma Geiser in their lives include: Charissa Breit (Brian), Cassandra Alger (fiancé Joshua Mogenson), Adam Geiser, Joshua Geiser, and Derek Geiser.  Martha was blessed with great grandchildren,  Madelynn and Blake Breit.  Martha is further survived by her brother and sister in laws Richard (JoAnn) Geiser of Belgium, WI and Berna (Bob) Pero of St. Augustine, FL and sister in law Lorraine Geiser of Charlesburg. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clarence Geiser; siblings and in-laws: brothers John (Bertilla) and Frank Muellenbach; sisters Mary Muellenbach, Leona (John) Karls, and Veronica (Edward) Karls.  a brother in law: Werner Geiser; sister in laws: Mildred (Claude) Gebhart and Leonella (Edward) Keuler.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating.  Entombment will be in the Knollwood Mausoleum.  Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm on Monday, June 26, 2017 and on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:30 am until 10:30 am.  A Parish Vigil Service will be held Monday evening at the funeral home at the close of the visitation.

Thank you to Calumet County Home Health Care and Hospice for all of the loving hearts, gentle hands, and helpful care that was shown to both Martha and her entire family.

Martha Geiser waited patiently for God to call His angels to open the gates wide to welcome her.  The glorious day has come for this kind woman; may you now enjoy heaven—where it is forever Spring- your favorite season which is full of light, warmth, beauty, and everlasting life……… Auf Wiedersehen
God bless your mother
