Mary A Weber
Chilton, WI

Mary A. Weber, age 63, of Chilton, died of natural causes, in the comfort of her home, on Friday, February 16, 2018.  She was born December 17, 1954 in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late Paul & Loretta “Hazel” (Head) Weber.
Mary worked for the Calumet County Court House until 1994 and then spent time working a variety of jobs.  She also devoted time as a waitress, alongside her mother, at Chilton Eagles Club and Kloten Oasis.  Beyond her employment, Mary will be most remembered for her countless hours of volunteering and her many creations and donations.  Anyone that came in contact with Mary was quick to hear that if they had yarn to share, she would be happy to have it.  She was recognized for over 1000 hours of knitting lap blankets, slippers, hats & gloves for the veterans.  But her creations also extended to knitting baby hats, prayer shawls & scarves, quilting, making rosaries, or any other idea that was presented to her and she felt compelled to make.  Mary’s love for children was evident in the time she spent tutoring the students and helping at Chilton Area Catholic School.  She also enjoyed and offered her time at Good Shepherd Parish as a Eucharistic minister, making first Friday calls and helping with parish dinners, and also the Salvation Army and New Holstein Salvatorian Center.  She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, the Chilton VFW & American Legion Auxiliaries and the Legion of Mary.
Beyond the hours spent tutoring, volunteering and crafting, Mary’s presence will truly be missed at the many school functions she attended.  She never missed an event that her great nephew & niece, David & Sarah, were involved in.  Her love and support for David & Sarah was a true gift to our family and we will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her sister-in-law: Bonnie Weber; a nephew: Rick (Mary Jo) Weber and their children, David & Sarah: and close family friends, Jim & Lori Koller and their children, all of Chilton.  She is further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jim Weber and a nephew, David Weber.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 am on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating.  Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am when the family prayers will be held.  Prayer services will take place at the close of visitation on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Coming from Milwaukee, I have fond memories of spending a week at Mary"s house for a week in the summer. Aunt Hazel and Uncle Paul were great hosts, and the times with Mary were very fun. Sorry to hear of your passing, God bless you and your family.

Jane Lewandowski (Cousin) - Feb. 20, 2018

My father used to take our family up north to visit Hazel & Mary yearly. As an adult, I would think of Mary once in awhile wondering how she was. God bless you Mary.

Larry Radliff (Cousin) - Feb. 20, 2018

To the Weber Family,
Sharon and I were shocked to hear the news of Mary's passing. I believe she was at every event David and Sarah were involved. She always had a story to tell. She will be missed by the Chilton community as well. God bless Mary and the ones she left behind.

Sorry for your loss.... prayers to the family...

Ken & Judy Karls - Feb. 19, 2018

Mary would often track me down after church to see if I had gotten new yarn for her to make Baptismal blankets, premie hats and prayer shawls for the Bereavement Program at Good Shepherd. She was always smiling, had stories to share and proudly mentioning a game that she had attended for her "niece or nephew." If a game didn't interfere she would attend the Library Group of Prayer Shawl knitters which is how I came to know her. I will miss her lively conversation and contributions.

I am just in shock learning of Mary’s passing. I got to meet her and become a friend at my grandkids sporting events and believe it or not, it was over a skein of yarn. We exchanged yarns on several occasions because I also create lapgahns for hospice patients. Such a wonderful and caring person. Truly an Angel our Lord needed at this time.
