Sharon A Rataichek
Hilbert, WI

Sharon Rataichek, age 72, of Hilbert, died on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at her home in Hilbert. She was born August 31, 1944 in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Francis & Emma (Diener) Heimerl. Sharon married Mike Rataichek on June 27, 1964 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert.

Early in her life, Sharon worked a time for Fromagerie Belle Cheese, Suttner Accounting and Chilton Metal Products. She also volunteered time as the school secretary at St. Mary Catholic School, but her God given vocation as wife and mother was paramount throughout her life. She applied the skill she possessed to help all those around her. With a warm smile and helpful word of encouragement, Sharon lent herself as a resource to those seeking advice or sound council when it was needed.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert where she had also belonged to the Christian Women. In her free time, Sharon enjoyed knitting, crafting and listening to Elvis every chance she had. Although she was never born with a propensity for sports, Sharon came into her own as a Green Bay Packer fan and Milwaukee Brewer fan with a bit of work and guidance from her husband, Mike. She especially looked forward to being a part of any event her grandchildren were involved in like concerts and fine arts shows.

Survivors include her husband: Mike; her children: Jeffrey Rataichek, Wendy (Ron) Hoffmeyer; 5 grandchildren: Emma Price, Ryan, Cole, Aric & Chase Hoffmeyer; her siblings: Gloria Heimerl, Barb (Craig) Block, Ron Heimerl, Marion (Rod) Burr, Jim (Karen) Heimerl; and her in-laws: Cletus (Emily) Rataichek, Jerome Rataichek, and Mary Margaret (Ron) Wondrash. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws: Theodore & Margaret Rataichek her children: Michael Rataichek and 2 infant children; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Jeanette & Bob Brochtrup.

Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church (108 S. 6th St.) in Hilbert with the Rev. David Funk OFM Cap. officiting. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 am until 11:45 am on Friday, February 3, 2017.

Sharon's family would like to thank the entire staff of the Calumet County Hospice for all of the care they had given to her. Sharon truly enjoyed visiting with each of them, especially Melanie, Kristin & Holly. Thank you again for the excellent care and compassion shown to both Sharon and her family.
I remember all the double dates and drive in movies. We all had so much fun!
