Suzanne Florence Dhein, age 69, of Chilton, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Willowdale Health and Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein.  She was born April 22, 1948 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Clement & Helen (Herrmann) Franz.  She married Steven D. Dhein on July 11, 1975 in Manitowoc.

Suzanne grew up and attended school in Manitowoc.  Following her marriage to Steve, Suzanne earned her early childhood care certificate and worked in various daycares throughout the area.  Once her own children came into her life, Suzanne gave up her teaching career and dedicated her entire life to the raising and care of her family.  The loving care given to her family is shown by how her children grew into the people they are today.

She was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church where she had also volunteered with the Christian Women and taught Sunday school for several years..  Suzanne was also a member of the Calumet County CB Radio Club, was a current member and co-founder of the Calumet County Transplant Support Group which was recognized by the City of Chilton.

In her free time, Suzanne collected dolls, wrote poetry and looked forward to walks in nature and botanical gardens.  She loved to be around people, especially appreciating opportunities to teach and guide young children in their education and in life.

Survivors include her husband: Steve; her children: Jennifer Dhein, Jonathan (Cortney) Dhein; a brother: Stephen Franz; and a sister: Cynthia (Dave) Klein.  She is further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew: Andrew Klein.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 am on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating.

A memorial fund has been established in the name of Suzanne F. Dhein.

Suzanne’s family would like to thank Willowdale and the entire staff of Chilton Home Healthcare and Hospice for their unending support and care for both Suzanne and her entire family.
