Arlene F Lintner

Appleton WI

Arlene F. Lintner, age 73, of Appleton, died on Monday, January 5, 2026 in the Town of Menasha.  She was born April 13, 1952 in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late Allen F.  & Clara E. (Kopf) Lintner.

In 1971, Arlene graduated from Chilton High School and then pursued a degree in accounting from Fox Valley Technical college.  Following her graduation and receipt of her degree in 1973, she worked in the Appleton area at various locations.

Arlene cherished her Catholic Faith and was a long time member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Appleton.  Knowing that God had promised her everlasting life, Arlene did everything in her power to be a blessing to everyone around her.  She utilized her crafting skills to make greeting cards, or leave everyone a reminder of her love by leaving additional “sprinkles” inside of the cards that she gave to others.

In her own mind, Arlene thought that she lived a boring life.  In reality, her life was rich with memories of travels throughout the United States, including Hawaii, and the occasional jump across the Northern border into Canada.  Often, she would open up and share memories of her beloved childhood and made sure to send a little note along with everyone, that they knew they were loved by her.

Survivors include her siblings: Janet Lintner, Jerry Lintner and his special friend, Carol Geise, Donald (Terese) Lintner; nieces and nephews: Jamie (Andy) Schnelle, Julia (Nick) Stenz, Justin (Christine) Lintner, Nicholas (Brooke) Lintner, Isaac Lintner; and great nieces and nephews.  She is further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister-in-law: Ann Lintner.

On January 14, 2026, there will be a gathering at Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.  At the close of the gathering, there will be an opportunity for anyone present to share a memory or a story of Arlene.

Arlene's family would like to thank the entire staff at Prairie Home Assisted Living Center and Preceptor Hospice for all of their loving care and compassion that was shown to both her and her family.

Jerry, I am so sorry to see your sister passed away. It is so hard to lose a sibling. I definitely remember your sister riding the bus with us. It sounds like Arlene was always a good person. As she was your older sister, she passed her kindness onto you. Stay close to your family during this difficult time.
