Arline H Jensen
Oconomowoc, WI

Arline H. Jensen, age 79, of Oconomowoc died on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Heritage Lake Country in Hartland, WI.  She was born December 14, 1939 in Chilton, daughter of the late Arthur & Eunice (Gerhartz) Nennig.

Arline married Don R. Jensen on November 3, 1962 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton.  As a Navy wife, Arline spent the first 5 years of marriage living in San Francisco, CA, Long Beach, CA and Great Lakes, IL before settling down in Green Bay, WI.  In 1988, the couple moved to Oconomowoc where they have resided ever since.

Arline was sent to Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA to earn her Trust License.  She retired as an Assistant Trust Administrator from M&I Bank in Milwaukee.

Arline thoroughly enjoyed time spent in the fresh air at golf courses, swinging sticks and excelling at the game of golf.  She was proficient at the game and won her flight at a Brown County Women’s Golf Tournament in Green Bay.  Arline also had a passion for bowling and had also won the Green Bay Women’s Bowling Championship.  For this, she was asked by Lee Remmel, Green Bay Packer Director of Public Relations, to throw out the First Ball to open a Packer Sponsored Charity Bowling Tournament.  When the time came, she calmly walked up to her lane and threw out a strike before a cheering crowd.

She was active in her church, St. Catherine of Alexandria in Mapleton where she had served on the church council, coordinated the eucharistic ministers and served on the boards who coordinated the flu shot and blood pressure screening programs.

Arline will forever be remembered as a devoted, loving wife and mother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband: Don; her children: Brian Jensen, Bobbi (P.J.) Niles; and her siblings: Mary Ann Freund, Art (Mary Ellen) Nennig, Barb (Bud) Wieting, Irene (Kerby) Merz, Doris (Dennis) Schaff, Cheryl (Peter) Bakke. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Paula (Duane) Dubois; and a brother-in-law: Doug Freund.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church (W359 N8512 Brown St.) in Oconomowoc with Rev. Michael D. Strachota officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Chilton.  Friends may call at the church from 9:00 am until 10:45 am on Saturday, August 17, 2019.

Arline’s family would like to thank the personnel of Horizon Home Health Care for the compassionate care that was rendered to Arline, along with the support and expertise provided from the staff at Heritage Lake Country.  Their service was outstanding and greatly appreciated.
Our deepest sympathy to all of the family in the loss of Arline. She was a well respected lady and had a "spice to life" in her. We all looked up to her.
Peace and love,
Pat (Winkler) Van Den Heuvel

Pat Van Den Heuvel (first cousin of Arline) - Aug. 14, 2019

Big Sister is gone, but she will not be forgotten!! There are many stories to tell but there is not enough space here to pass them all along. I would simply say as her little brother se often looked out for me. She was always there when I needed her. Arline will be missed by all the Nieces and Nephews as Arline was half of the Spite and Malice card games at Family gatherings. Her other half was Paula in these games. Arlne had a deep Faith in God that came from our Mother. She is now home with the Lord and at Peace!! We love you Arline and we will miss you!
