Carol A Groeschl
Chilton, WI

Carol A. Groeschl, age 84, of Chilton, died on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at her home in Chilton.  She was born March 17, 1937 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Bruno & Minerva (Peot) Leitner.

Carol married Anthony Groeschl on June 12, 1956 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho and the couple farmed together on the family homestead until their retirement.

Her faith was the foundation of her life and was a member of  Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton, formerly Holy Trinity Parish in Jericho.

Carol truly enjoyed working hand in hand with Tony and meticulously tended to her yard, making sure that her house was really a home.  She relished in decorating her home for every season of Wisconsin and holiday that would arrive next, knowing that her efforts would bring joy to those she loved the most.  Above all else, Carol cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren counting them all as a blessing to her life, and knowing that they were all the legacy of who she was.

Survivors include her children:  Debra & Joe Hertel, Tony & Dianne Groeschl, Linda Degeneffe & her fiancé Jeff Hackl, Kurt & Connie Groeschl, Rick & Wendie Groeschl and Bryon Groeschl & Darrin Day; her grandchildren: Matthew & Jen Levknecht, Adam & Meredith Levknecht, Nicole Haverland, Joseph Hertel, Anthony Groeschl and Jamie,  Zachary & Cassie Groeschl, Dr. Ross Groeschl, Amanda Buntin, Tyler & Jane Degeneffe, Edward & Lashonda Degeneffe, Jonathan & Kristin Groeschl, Nathan & Kayla Groeschl, Joshua Groeschl & Tressa, Cassandra & Casey Rentmeester, Mitchell & Colleen Groeschl, Gabrielle Groeschl; 21 great grandchildren with another arriving soon; her sister: Sharon & Dave Neuber; and a sister-in-law: Valeria Buechel.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by the love of her life, Tony; parents: Bruno & Minerva Leitner; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Anton & Veronica Groeschl; and grandchildren: Alec & Ben Groeschl.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 pm on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with Rev. Jon Thorson officiating.

On behalf of the family they would like to thank Dr. Jonathan Thompson from Froedtert Hosptial, Home in Stead, Hospice Care of Calumet County, and Dr. Lisa Schabach.  Thank you.

Dear Deb, Tony & family.
My condolences and thoughts are with you.
May your happy memories help you through this difficult time. Your mom loved each and every member of her family for being themselves. Now she is united with the love of her life. Listen closely, I'm sure you can hear the music and laughter.
