Carol M. Puetz, age 89, of Chilton, died on Monday, July 8, 2024. She was born May 29, 1935 in Elkhart Lake, daughter of the late Cyril & Elizabeth (Flath) Stemper.
She married David Puetz on July 19, 1955 at St. Ann Catholic Church in St. Anna Wisconsin. Together, they raised their children on the family farm in Charlesburg. After selling the farm, Carol worked at Sargento in Kiel until her retirement.
Carol was a long time and active member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg where she also sang in the choir and belonged to the Christian Mothers. She became a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Marytown where she continued to serve the church in every way she could.
In her free time, she enjoyed manicuring her lawn, her flower gardens, antiquing and shoe shopping. Carol also enjoyed her card clubs. But most of all she liked spending time with family and her many friends.
Survivors include her children: Ron (Vi) Puetz, Thomas (Jody) Puetz, Wayne Puetz, Jerry Puetz, Margie (Ron) Schmitz, Sandy (Pat) Schmitz, Shelly Puetz; grandchildren: Melissa, Derek, Kelly, Casey, Karly, Jacky (Himanshu), Kyle, & Adam; step-grandchildren: Dave Clark Suan, Davie Suan, Chim Pineda (Chris), Jim Franzen, Jaime Franzen; great-grandchildren: Laila & Lara; and 9 step-great-grandchildren; her siblings: Joyce (Romy) Drake, Lloyd (Sandra) Stemper, Elaine Ramirez, Diane (Clayton) Pethan; and a sister-in-law: Judy Puetz. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: David; her children: Gary & Bob Puetz; siblings: Donald Stemper, Lorelie (Butch) Nennig; siblings-in-law: Jeanold Puetz, David Ramirez & Joyce (Joe) Depies; and a nephew: Joe Puetz
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 pm on Friday, July 12, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marytown. Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Charlesburg. A time of visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until 12:15 pm on Friday, July 12, 2024.
Carol's family would like to thank the entire staff of Caring Hands and the Calumet County Homecare and Hospice for all of the loving care that was shown to Carol and her entire family.

Puetz Family:so sorry for your loss of Carol. I always fondly remember smiling in church when Carol went to communion at St. Charles because was always so smartly dressed and HIGH heels to finish off her apparel. RIP Carol.
