Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021 11:00am St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Stockbridge 5295 Moore Road Hilbert, WI 54129 ![]() Charles R Lisowe Chilton, WI Charles R. “Chuck” Lisowe, 75, of Chilton, passed away December 2nd at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born June 22, 1946 in Appleton, Wisconsin, son of the late Norbert & Irene (Mortell) Lisowe and spent the last decades of his life at his farm with his wife, Connie (Jacobs) Lisowe.
Upon graduating from Stockbridge High School in 1964, Chuck joined the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. Upon being honorably discharged, Chuck moved back to the Chilton area where he started his career before starting his own company, Chuck’s Septic, known for the famous catch-phrase, “You Dump It, We Pump It.” He also ran a tight ship at his bar, located in Quinney, where he was the founder of the Minnow Drinking Club and sponsored countless teams who sported the classic purple uniforms. Above all else, Chuck cherished family and freedom. He enjoyed taking his kids, grandkids, and great grandchildren on hikes on the ledge, on family hayrides to Polly’s, showing them how to ride his horses, and taking life in with his many cherished family dogs. He also enjoyed spending time on the deck playing cards and games with his wife, Connie, and the many friends and family members that would visit them at their farm in Chilton. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with his family, whether that be catching a cup of coffee with his siblings or celebrating a special occasion with his kids, grandkids, and great grandchildren. Chuck had a cowboy spirit and was always willing to “tell it how it is,” a value that his friends and family members could always count on. He regularly took his horses on cross-country trips, often to meet up with his friends, especially “Cowboy” Jim Miller. Chuck had a strong work ethic, and encouraged his family members to be the best they could possibly be in everything they did. He will be forever missed by all those who knew and loved him. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Norbert & Irene Lisowe, grandchildren, Alec & Benjamin Groeschl, and his in-laws, Stephen & Kathleen Jacobs. Chuck is survived by his wife, Connie (Jacobs) Lisowe, and their two children, Kayla Lisowe and Casey Lisowe (with his special friend, Becca); by his first wife, Sue (Hemauer) Lisowe and their four children, Wendie (Rick) Groeschl, Tracie (Jeff) Mindel, Kellie (Brian) Bartel, and Tim Lisowe and his fiancée Niki Grube. Grandchildren include Cassie (Casey) Rentmeester, Josh Groeschl and his special friend Tressa Evans, Mitch (Colleen) Groeschl, Gabbie Groeschl, Chace (Aubree) Mindel, Parker Mindel and his fiancée Macky Rehm, Isaac Bartel and his special friend Leigha Goeser, Jackson and Maddox Bartel, Gaven Lisowe and his special friend Lynzee Adkins, Olivia and Charlie Lisowe. Great grandchildren include Amelia, Bennett, and Cash Rentmeester, Tanner Walker, and Remi Mindel. Siblings include Ray (Gloria) Lisowe, Joan (Dick) Leitner, and Pat (Jim) Moon. Sibling-in-laws include Debbie (Paul) Roehrig, Dan Jacobs, and Dennis (Kimberly) Jacobs. Nieces and nephews include Lance (Kim) Lisowe, Chad Lisowe, Steve Leitner, Sher (Jim) Schaut, Brad (Christie) Leitner, Rhonda Lamers and her fiancée Mark Willems, Randy Moon and special friend Missi, Rob Moon, Tim (Marcia) Roehrig, Liz (Nick) Adcock, Michael Roehrig, Sara (Troy) Rusch, Steven (Melissa) Jacobs. Many memories from years ago. May your memories sustain you. Sincerely, Jamie Rozman Jamie Rozman (Friend) - Dec. 6, 2021 When we were in business, we relied on Chuck to pump out one of our catch basins for our warehouse periodically. It wasn’t till two years ago that I really got to know Chuck. We both worked part time for Phil’s Pumping. When we worked in the Freedom area, Chuck and I would share the ride to and from the farm we were hauling for. Chuck was a true patriot having served in the Army. We shared stories of our military service, along with stories of being in business. Chuck was always upbeat, always smiling and always had something positive to say about everyone he knew. I loved his sense of humor, and I always enjoyed his political take on things. Most of all, we became fast friends and enjoyed each other’s company. Connie, I can’t begin to tell you how sorry I am for you and your family. Chuck was a treasure, and I can only imagine how difficult these times must be. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. And I hope that the memories of all the good times can somehow sustain you. Chuck, we shall meet again one day, and we’ll both be driving Peterbilts! Godspeed! Bob Miller (Friend) - Dec. 6, 2021 Out thought and prayers are with you and the family.
