Clarence B Byrge
Chilton WI
Clarence Bernard “Barney” Byrge, age 72, of Chilton, died on Friday June, 13, 2025 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Appleton. He was born June 6, 1953 in the great state of West Virginia, son of the the late Douglas & Norma Jean (Brooks) Byrge.
Early in his life, and following his proud and honorable discharge from the United States Navy, Barney worked in the coal mines of West Virginia as an electrician before finding his way to the great state of Wisconsin where he continued his vocation with Foley.
He married Reyne C. Kramarczyk on November 25, 1972 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Chilton.
Given his outward appearance, Barney fit the role of someone who loved time spent outdoors hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and FISHING. But deep inside, he was a big teddy bear who cared deeply about his family, especially his grandchildren. They brought so much joy to his life and helped keep his warm smile showing.
When he was looking at time spent on his own, he created beautiful works of wooden art like tables, decorative house decor, and chests that could be utilized and displayed in the homes of those he loved.
In recent years, Barney appreciated mornings with a fresh cup of coffee watching the birds in his yard, tending to his garden and sitting on his lawn tractor for hours on end solving all of the world’s problems.
Survivors include his wife: Reyne; his children: Jesse (Maria) Byrge, Jeramy Byrge, Michael (Kristina) Byrge; grandchildren: Nick Schneider, Haley Byrge, Taylor Byrge, Trevor Hartzman, Mikayla Byrge-Juedes, Emma Byrge, Cloey Byrge; his siblings: Theresa Bellue, Tammy Byrge, and Trina (Chris) Johnson; a sister-in-law: Tammy Byrge; and his beloved 4 legged companion: Baylee. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Barney was preceded in death by his parents: Douglas & Norma; and a brother: Timothy Byrge.
Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 6:45 pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
