Dana Marie Escher, age 48, of Chilton, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at her home.  She was born December 6, 1971 in Chilton, daughter of Honey Lou Barnett.  She married Brad Escher on May 24, 2003 in Chilton.

Dana graduated as an accountant, and later became a Certified Social Worker, having graduated from UWGB with high honors.  She devoted her life to social work and did everything in her power to help people, and make their lives better.  She was especially well known from bartending at many establishments throughout Calumet County where she made many friends and acquaintances with her bubbly personality.  

Dana was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul and volunteered many hours for fundraising activities like ‘Kicks for Kyle’, the Stockbridge Dive Team, and cancer awareness.  

In her free time, Dana loved to go for rides on the motorcycle with Brad and spending time with Owen doing fun and exciting things.  Dana had a big heart who loved everyone around her and especially enjoyed brightening people’s day.

Survivors include her husband: Brad; her mother: Honey Lou Barnett; her mother-in-law: Linda Escher; her son: Owen Meyers; her siblings: David Barnett, Jody (Thomas) Puetz, Jessie (Gerald) Meyers; and her siblings-in-law: Amy (Chuck) Giesen, Chris (Deb) Escher, Sarah (Troy) Burmeister, Josh (Sara) Escher, & Eric (Whitney) Escher.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law: Allen Escher.

Oh Dana how I will miss you. You made working at the daycare fun and on some days bearable. We had so much fun together and we clicked the moment we met. I will miss you my friend. Brad & Owen my thoughts and prayers are with you.
