Dennis L. Eldred, age 72, of Chilton, died on October 20, 2019, at his residence in Chilton. He was born June 28, 1947, in Appleton, son of Ward and Florence Eldred. He was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served in the United States Army.
Dennis was a nice guy with many friends, and he would do anything for anyone that needed help. He worked at the Tecumseh Factory for 42 years before finally calling it quits. He liked camping, mopeds, fast cars, and the Packers. Above all else, he loved his family and he cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children: Michelle (Dan) Stoffel and Jodi Eldred (Becky Pierce); step-sons: Doug (Jenny) Endries, Jamie (Amy) Endries, and Davis (Monika) Endries; ten grandchildren: Tiffany (Kevin), Taylor (Tyler), Trinity, Ericka, Sara, Emily, Allyson, Devin Reigh, Uriah, and Waylon; great-grandchildren: Zoey, Oliver, and Wyatt is on his way; mother-in-law: Ethel Meyer; sisters: Marley Dorn and Linda (Dan) Loewe; sisters-in-law: Barbara Schuh, Geriann Miller, and Nancy Eldred; and brothers-in-law: Dan (Diane) Meyer and Gary (Patti) Meyer.
Dennis was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita; his parents: Ward and Florence; father-in-law: Victor Meyer; brothers: Frank Eldred and Michael Eldred; and brothers-in-law: Francis Dorn and Randy Miller.
A funeral service is set for 6:00pm on Friday, October 25, 2019, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00pm until 6:00pm on the day of the service.
