Dennis N. Fritschka, age 80, of Chilton, died on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Ascension Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. He was born December 1, 1941 in Milwaukee, son of the late John, Sr. & Catherine (Salm) Fritschka.
Through his working career, Dennis worked at Tecumseh Engine in New Holstein until he was able to retire in 2005 and proudly enjoyed every moment of his retirement. He was a passionate Green Bay Packer fan and Milwaukee Brewer fan who made sure to catch every game he could. He looked forward to time spent hanging out with his neighbors and playing round after round of Sheepshead with his card club. Known as “The Tough Guy” on Spring St., Dennis also enjoyed the simple joys of life, like sitting on his front porch and listening to the greatest American song writer, Neil Diamond.
He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his children: Conrad Fritschka, Richard Fritschka and his significant other, Jodi Dalton, Ross Fritschka; 7 grandchildren: Elizabeth (Kyle) Bartel, Alycia Fritschka, Corey Fritschka and his significant other, Sara Rautmann, Lee Koehler, Justin Fritschka, Cicilia (Spencer) Hill, Samantha Fritschka; 6 great grandchildren; his siblings: Marcia Fritschka, John, Jr. “Shorty” (Linda) Fritschka, Bonnie (Dave) Wilhelm, Sherry Fritschka, Paul “Pablo” Fritschka; and the mother of his children: Laura Fritschka. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; a son: Tod Fritschka; his siblings: Diane (Jim) Wilden, Keith Fritschka, Kay Fritschka, Michael Fritschka; and his best bud, Hunter who was truly ‘Man’s Best Friend’.
A time of visitation will take place on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Those wishing to view a memorial video or see photos of flowers and gifts given to the family may do so by clicking HERE.

Some of us Mallmann girls will remember him as our ride home from the hospital! Just what good friends do for each other when one is away at work! Many good memories of our families together. He was a very good man. RIP

Dear Marcia, Shorty, Sherry and Paul,
My deepest condolences on the passing of Dennis. Dennis was a wonderful person, so gentle, kind and very sweet. I have fond memories of Dennis as neighbors and being kids on Water Street. One particular memory I recall: When I was about 10 years old, I saw Dennis sleeping under a tree on the Fritschka property. After he woke up and left the area, me and a few other neighborhood kids went to the spot he had been sleeping and found a bunch of money (change) which probably fell out of his pocket. We were so excited. We told Dennis when we saw him and he told us we could keep it. This is just one example of Dennis. I'll miss you, Dennis, but I know we'll meet again in Heaven.
