Chilton, WI

Eileen M. Schneider, age 90, of Chilton, died at home on Thursday, June 17, 2021.  She was born November 26, 1930 at her home in Darboy to the late George & Mary (Grode) Sprangers.  She met the love of her life  Clarence M. Schneider, at the Cinderella Ballroom in Appleton and married him on June 16, 1951.  They just celebrated 70 years of marriage by taking a ride around the countryside, something they enjoyed doing for many many years.

Eileen attended school for eight years at Holy Angels Parish in Darboy.  She worked at Woolworths, Zwickers Knittingmill, and Thilmanys Papemill, and Tecumseh for a time.  The couple started farming in 1952 and then moved to the Schneider homestead in 1959 and continued to farm and raise their family.  Raising her large family of 8 sons and 2 daughters were some of the happiest times of her life.  She was a hard worker who was in the barn daily doing her chores and tending to her garden.  In her free time she loved to knit or crochet.

Eileen for a short time was a member of the Eagles Auxilary and the New Hope Center.  Clarence and Eileen were always together, attending dances, driving around the countryside enjoying all 4 seasons of wonderful Wisconsin to the fullest, going out to dinner, and doing the things they loved.  They spent many nights dancing and going to dance clubs and the Happy Hopper and We Love To Dance Club.  They were members of the Calumet County Snow Trails and snowmobiled all over the state of Wisconsin.  She enjoyed many nights playing sheepshead and visiting with family and friends at Gravity Park.

Eileen will be missed by her husband, Clarence; her children: Bob (Jackie) Schneider, Judy Schneider, David (Wanda) Schneider, Terri Schneider and Bob Ciske, Ken (Debbie) Schneider, Rick (Barb) Schneider, Andy (Connie) Schneider, Elroy Schneider, Casey (Pam) Schneider, and Harvey Schneider and fiancee Lisa Lane; many grandchildren, and many many great-grandchildren; sisters: Gin Friebel, Lois (Raymond) Schrieber; brothers and sisters in law; Leon Hartzhiem, Mike Schreiber, Linda Sprangers, Mary Sprangers, Melvin (Verina) Lisowe, Fritz (Chris) Schneider, Ronald Preissner, Kayleen Schneider, and Sharon Schneider; her Godchildren, many friends at Gravity Park, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren:  Mary Ann &  Nicole Schneider, Christopher, Nicole, Carleen, and Andre Schneider; her brothers: Charles, Fred, and George Jr.; her sisters: Lillian Hartzhiem, Alice Schreiber; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ronald Friebel, Eugene Schneider, Leo (Alice) Schneider, William (Phyllis) Schneider, Alvin Schneider, Harry Schneider, Gordon Schneider, Lorraine Lisowe, Elsie (George) Rahmer, Arlene Preissner.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Jon Thorsen officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Chilton.  A time of visitation will be at the Wieting Family Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, June 21, 2021 and Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM.

The family would like to thank Calumet County Hospice for their care.

Eileen was so sensible, sweet , hardworking and loved to have fun.
She any my mother were best friends. Clarence and Eileen shared the love of dancing with my parents and they had many of twirls on many of dance floors!!
Your mom often told me how she missed my mom and just calling her up!!
Well they are doing alot of catching up now. I suspect they are planning on a huge dance. If you feel the earth move under your feet, yo know whats going on !!!!
May you wonderful memories provide you great comfort. God Bless
