Elaine Hudson, RN, died unexpectedly in the early hours of May 23, 2020 at her home in Hilbert, WI.  She was an intelligent, beautiful, loving and talented woman of 67 who could take on any task.  She enjoyed the outdoors on frequent walks.  But her favorite thing in the world was holding babies and giving them her unconditional love.  Her mother-in-law once called her “the most natural mother I’ve ever seen.”  Elaine is survived by her son, Bill, and husband of 41 years, Eric Hudson.  She is also missed by an older brother, Orlen Wolf, and his family.

A small, private graveside ceremony will be held for Elaine in a rural Belleville, Illinois, Catholic cemetery where her mother Leona, father Lynn and older sister Diane Wolf rest.  Elaine’s younger brother, Terry Wolf, also preceded her in death in 2017 and will be represented at the service by niece Lynn Wolf and nephew Eric Wolf.

In lieu of gifts and flowers, Elaine would be very pleased if you just spent time holding and talking to your babies.
I can say AMEN to the others. She was such a super friend, Had Super Listening Ears. She was So HUMBLE. Down to Earth.Always looked forward to China Buffet on Mondays. They came to Appleton even with the construction by Northland mall. Eric and Bill were sure lucky to have her in their life for so many years. Will be reading the series of books she read, thinking of her. Will start to look for them

My sympathies to you, Eric and Bill. I have enjoyed many conversations with Elaine over the years when meeting her while out on a walk. Her kind heart and concern for others was always evident. I will miss her forever.

Elaine was the sweetest person in the World. She is going to be greatly missed by so many. I totally agree with her gift for babies. She helped us with Trenton from baby on. We will miss you greatly

So sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She definitely was one of the most soft spoken, kind people. I know she will be greatly missed. Wishing you all peace and comfort as you grieve the loss of her.

Elaine was my dearest Hilbert neighbor who I loved. We would walk and talk about about our families and the books we were reading. I introduced her to the book series "At Home in Mitford." We used to say that Hilbert was like a small town Mitford. Elaine was the sweetest person I ever met as she was always thinking of and caring for others. We continued to keep in touch through letters when I moved to Washington state and a an occasional phone call. We shared the love of flowers and babies. Elaine lived a life well lived. I am going to miss my sweet friend a lot.
God bless you both, Eric and Bill.
