Eugene G Jensen

Hilbert WI

Eugene G. Jensen, age 76, of Hilbert, died on May 24, 2025, at The Landings Assisted Living in Kaukauna. He was born April 3, 1949, son of the late Arthur and Florence (Bernard) Jensen. He married his high school sweetheart, Ann Lodel, in 1969, and together they had a son, Jesse.

In the summers Eugene loved going to Camp 10 outside of Reedsville and spending time with the other camping neighbors.  In the winter he took Ann to see a movie every week . When Jesse was younger, he liked boating and waterskiing on Lake Winnebago with friends and family. He had a nickname for everyone, and sometimes the family didn't even know the person's real name.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Ann; his son: Jesse (Lisa) Jensen; grandchildren: Riley Jensen and Tyler Jensen; and in-laws: Vivian Uhlers, Richard Lodel, Roger (Mary Ann) Lodel, George (Judy) Lodel, Markita Jensen, and Joan Lodel.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Florence; siblings: Virginia Mattfield and Frank Jensen; Ann's parents: George and Eleanor; and in-laws: Darlene (John) Kakuk, Tom Lodel, Henry (Linda) Lodel, Jim Lodel, James Uhlers, and Joyce Lodel.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the funeral home prior to service.

Oursympathy to Annie, Jesse, and family. We, neighbor ladies, had so much fun playing "31" cards with Gene. As he did not like to lose, we screamed with joy and laughter when we could beat him! Gene was so very helpful in cutting our grass and helping me during Oscar's many surgery healings. He will truly be missed. Rest in peace our friend.
