Garibaldi T. “Gary” Lozada, age 61, of Chilton, died on August 11, 2024, at Homestead Health Services in New Holstein. He was born April 25, 1963, in the Philippines, son of Solita Lozada and the late Dr. Ricarte Lozada.
Gary came to the US in 1969 and from an early age he was very athletic and became an avid skier. A tragic boating accident forced him away from athletic activity but allowed him to focus on his other passion in life: music. His love of music and his interest in cutting edge technology led him to become a recording engineer for CBS Records with opportunities to record famous musicians and travel all over the world. Eventually, he paired up with a childhood friend and started one of the first desktop publishing studios in Chicago. There, they worked with world renown design firms and Gary even helped some transition to the then new tech of computer-based graphic design.
Throughout his life and adventures Gary was generous to all and playful with children. His sense of humor stayed with him to the end, even when he was no longer able to speak, he could still make faces to get a laugh.
Gary is survived by his mother, Solita; and his siblings: Eric (Rowena) Lozada, Kevin (Gabrielle) Fine, and Jennifer (Isaac) Stone.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Ricarte Lozada.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 11:15 am at the funeral home on the day of service. At the time of service and following, there will be a link available for those wishing to watch a memorial video in honor of Gary, or to see pictures of flowers and gifts given to the family, on their website page provided through wietingfuneralhome.com.

Gari was such a wonderful person. I work at Milwaukee PC and he was always visiting us here, and always could make you laugh. The world is a little less bright without his light in it.
