Geraldine A Lemke

Hilbert WI

Geraldine Ann Lemke, age 84, of Hilbert, died on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.  She was born on March 1, 1941 in the Town of Fond du Lac, daughter of the late Melvin and Dora (Suemnicht) Riemer.

She married Donald W. Lemke on November 8, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Rantoul.  In 1961, together they bought the Federwitz farm of 98 acres and began farming the acreage on their own and raise their family.

Geraldine was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Rantoul .  It was here that she was actively involved in the Ladies Aid volunteering countless hours in service to the other members of the church.  With a ‘green thumb’, Geraldine took great pride in the many colorful flowers that she planted in her yard and in planters on her patio.  It brought her great joy to sit on her patio to admire her work and show them off to her friends and family.  She also knew her way around the kitchen and looked forward to cooking and baking delicious meals which she could share with those she loved.  Above all else, Geraldine cherished her family.  She especially looked forward to spending time with all of her grandchildren and keep track of all of their endeavors.

Survivors include her children: Joleen (Jerry) Meyer, Brenda (Bruce) Kobs, Daniel (Kathleen) Lemke, Douglas (Gina) Lemke; 9 grandchildren: Kelly Aull, Kendra (Chris) Lannbrecht, Jonathan (Lauren) Kobs, Marke (Shawn) Lamers, Miranda Lemke, Colton Lemke, Zachary Lemke and his special friend, Macey Pingel, Jordan Lemke and his special friend, Breanna Bowe, Brianna Lemke; 3 great grandchildren: Daytona & Justin Aull, Kenzie Lannbrecht; a sister: Diana Popp; and her sisters-in-law: Doris Riemer, Jackie (Larry) Wunrow, and Marlene Lemke.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; 3 brothers: Ronald (Sharon) Riemer, Donald Riemer, Dennis Riemer; brothers-in-law: Jerry Popp, Jerome Lemke; sisters-in-law: Darlene Lemke, Caroline (William) Sullivan.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 am on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul (N6080 West River Road, Hilbert) with Rev. Mark Krueger officiating.  Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 am until 11:15 am.  At the time of the service and following, there will be a link available above for those wishing to watch a livestream or archived recording of the service, view a memorial video, or see pictures of the flowers and gifts given to the family.

My sympathies go out to all of Geraldine's family! I, unfortunately, visied with her far too infrequently however, she was always such a pleasant and happy hostess. The last time I saw her was likely 10 years ago. She had trouble moving around at that time but labored in the kitchen making a delicious cake for us to share. She also kept me up to date on her well being with a Christmas card and message every holiday! Even though we visited ver infrequently I will miss her generous and caring spirit!

We are incredingly sorry for the family's loss.??????? When we moved next to Donny and Geraldine in 1991, they welcomed us and always asked if we needed anything to let them know. When Geraldine would drive by, she sometimes stopped to chat and we would catch up. Geraldine was always kind and loved her sense of humor. She will be missed very much. Love and Hugs to her family!
