Hubert E "Butch" Schoemann
Appleton WI
Hubert Emil “Butch” Schoemann, age 77, died on December 4, 2025, in Appleton, WI. He was born February 2,1948, in Milwaukee, WI, son of the late Hubert Timothy Schoemann and Marjorie Rosella (Janka) Schoemann.
Butch married Elaine (Paul) Schoemann on January 25, 1978. They were married on his parents wedding anniversary. They shared three children together and their love was extended to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Butch joined the Army in 1967 and was sent off to fight in the Vietnam War. He returned as a proud veteran who loved his country and carried that with him his entire life. He gave back to his community through the Free Masons of Palmyra and as a Boy Scout leader. He enjoyed the outdoors whether it was camping, hunting or fishing. At home he loved to sit and watch Nascar races with his daughter or the Kansas City Chiefs. Butch was a ham radio operator and he loved talking to people all over the world. Butch worked many jobs throughout his lifetime, but his favorite was at a trout farm near Palmyra, WI.
Butch is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elaine Marie Schoemann; Elaine's mother: Phyllis (Hraban) Paul; his son: Hubert "Buddy" Emil Schoemann, Jr.; Elaine’s son who was like his own: Brett (April) Seamandel; and his daughter: Heather (Robert) Radtke; grandchildren: Travis (Jyllian) Seamandel, Savanna (Cassidy) Seamandel, Skyler Schoemann (Alison Reyes), Deven Schoemann, Gauge Giere, Trinity, Robert Michael Radtke, Samantha Jo (Antonio Dapoli) Radtke; great-grandchildren: Octavia Schoemann, Zaylee Rosealla Poetzl, Kohen Dallas Poetzl, Alexandria Dapoli, Ila Seamandel; his sister: Virginia Schoemann; brother: Scott (Shirley) Schoemann; nieces: Marjorie (Derrick) Frease, Theresa (Jonathan) Misir, and Cecilia (William) Deschler, and their son Liam Deschler; many "bonus" kids and grandkids that either called him Dad or Grandpa; and many numerous cousins and friends.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents Hubert Timothy Schoemann and Marjorie Rosella (Janka) Schoemann and father-in-law Warren Paul.
