Jeffrey C Krueger
Appleton, WI

Jeffrey C Krueger, age 57, Stockbridge, died unexpectedly but not alone on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.  He was born March 13, 1965 to Clarence and Sandra (Meyers) Krueger in Chilton.

Jeff had a Pope and Young heart to go with his self proclaimed Pope and Young head (it was measured for verification). That heart is what led him to become a nationwide caretaker of the four leggers.  It all started when a Vizsla puppy named Gomer was brought home unexpectedly to join the pack of Jake and Clete. Gomer wiggled  his way into the very core of Jeff's soul and brought forth what became Jeff's purpose in life (and we are all trying to figure out why we're here).  Soon, Jeff became an advocate for those who's only voice was a bark.  He became interested in the  Vizsla rescues and then acquired senior dogs, Ariel and Angie to live out their days at his only a dream, to become a reality, sanctuary. Then came Sugar, Maisy, Gracie, Clete and Peter.  As of late he has been working with Airsong's Angels, The Hope Highway and The Lost on the Lakeshore.

Eventually Jeff did find time to spend with his 2 leggers, Gorf, Doug, Denny, Ted and Moose to name a few.  His second sanctuary became Bobbers where Jeff could be found ordering short glass, big straw old fashions or vodka cokes and telling his, take it with a grain of salt, tales and raising blood pressures as he debated his beliefs.  His FB antics and quips had everyone chuckling worldwide.

You may think he was taken too soon but his life circle has been completed with a job well done leaving his mark on this earth.  It's heaven's turn now for him to leave an impression there.

Jeff leaves behind his parents: Clarence & Sandy Krueger; his siblings: Theresa (Stumpy) Stumpf, Tom Krueger  (Kelly Vande Voort, friend), Steve (Polly) Krueger, Amanda Krueger (Rob Blatz, friend); his nieces and nephews: Cassie (Jason) Johnson, Matt (Nikki) Krueger, Ben (Dana) Krueger, Clint (Leah) Krueger, Natalie (Tony) Rach, Calley Becker; great nieces and nephews: Owen, Ridge, June, Charlotte, Laney, Brooks, Lily, Ellie & Josie; and his friend: Kelly Degaro and her children: Jordan & Taylor Phillips.

Jeff was preceded in death by an infant brother: Jimmy Krueger; and a niece: Halley Becker.  Funeral service will be at 6:30 pm on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton with Rev. Michael Betley officiating.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 6:15 pm on Friday, November 4, 2022 wearing Jeff's favorite go tos, sweatshirts, flannels and Bobbers apparel. In lieu of flowers, plants, trees, etc please make a donation to your favorite cause in Jeff's name.  Those wishing to watch a livestream or archived recording of the service, view flowers and gifts given to the family or watch a memorial video may do so by clicking HERE.

Thank you Denny Lauer and Stumpy for being there, the first responders, EMT's, and staff at St Elizabeth Hospital. Thank you Denny Lauer, Ted Hammen, Jill Brauer, Kat Harrington, Jayne Levknecht, Julie Hintz, Mary Jo Krueger and EVERYONE else who have stepped up and assisted in the care of Angie, Maisy, Gracie, Clete and Peter.

I am in shock, I just saw this. This is my favourite picture of him. Jeff was one of my first V friends. We never met in person, but he was there with a smile when you needed it no matter what time of day. I loved his devotion to our Vizslas. So much so that I got him a Vizsla Dad t-shirt & mug for Father’s Day a few years ago. He was so thrilled and appreciative. We lost touch and I wish we hadn’t. To his parents, precious fur babies, siblings, nieces, nephews, all who knew and loved him (which if you knew Jeff you loved him) I send you my deepest sympathies. There are no words that could make sense of your loss. I know he was surrounded by furbabies the moment he left earth. You were taken far too early and you will be missed. Rest easy my friend.

You were one heck of a human. I’m so sorry you’re gone. I will miss Jeff antics, cheering for your rescue runs and sending you silly & ridiculous crocheted clothing ideas.
My heartfelt condolences to your family, friends and all the people & animals your kind heart touched. Rest easy; you will be so missed.

We worked with Jeff for 24 years. He always made us laugh. He was the nicest fun loving guy. Fly high sweet Jeff Gone but never forgotten ????????

Sharon and Bill Longworth (Friend and co-worker) - Nov. 4, 2022

I became friends with Jeff through the Vizsla community, we corresponded over the years about dogs that needed to be rehome/rescued. I know so many of us felt that once Jeff knew about a rescue, he would do everything possible to get the dog into a loving home. He really was a true advocate to these dogs.
I will miss his fun, silly posts which made me laugh out loud so many times, and the humorous comments and back and forth banter that went along with his posts.
He really had such a positive impact on our lives, both human and dogs. He was one of the good guys, and he is missed greatly. My heart hurts for his family, friends and dogs – with sympathy.

Jeff was a wonderful person, dog lover, funny and caring. And yet we never met in person. Our mutual love of dogs especially Vislas. Jeff help me rescue my Viszla Luna by driving over 200 miles picking her up and taking her to my sister who lived in Minnesota.
Sadly, we never met but stayed in contact because of our love of Viszlas and rescues.
He helped so many people, so many rescues, and so many Viszlas...
Heaven has truly gained another angel who now lives over the rainbow Bridge. I know my Luna was there to welcome him, wiggle tail and all.

The Rescuer! Their Hero! Jeff, I am so sad you had to leave so soon! I can't imagine not seeing you around town with your kids (pups) or even when you sneak out alone for a bit. Those kids are going to be as lost without their hooman as we will be without you. Godspeed and RIP Jeff. Prayers to the Krueger family, friends, co-workers, and online family.
P. S. Tell Burro hi!
