Joyce J Krepline

Hilbert WI

Joyce June Krepline, age 83, of Hilbert, died on Monday, January 13, 2025 at her home in the arms of her loving husband of 59 years.  She was born August 31, 1941 in Oshkosh, daughter of the late Edward & Marie (Duescher) Schroeder and was extremely proud to be one of their fourteen children.  On September 25, 1965, Joyce married William “Willie” Krepline at Grace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.

Joyce was well known to have the gift of gab who could strike up a conversation with any and all she came across.  It was this friendly and nurturing personality that made her the unofficial grandma for all of the children in the neighborhood.  She enjoyed baking cookies for her grandchildren and their friends.  Joyce cherished her family and made sure to attend  her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.  With a very patriotic heart, Joyce could often be heard singing the National Anthem at these events, even if nobody else was singing.

When the sun was shining and the weather was warm, Joyce enjoyed tending to her garden and her flowers.  Above all else, she cherished her faith and was a long time active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert.

Survivors include her husband: Willie; her children: Amy (Daniel) Leffler, Lisa Krueger; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her siblings: Shirley Roeder, Robert (Colleen) Schroeder, John (Bonnie) Schroeder, Dorothy Schroeder, Kenneth Stadler.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son: Scott Krepline; her parents; her siblings: Clarence Schroeder, David Schroeder, Richard Schroeder, Betty Leichtfuss, Delores Reckelberg, Catherine Schaefer, Alvina Stadler, Arline Hoeft, Grace Strum and an infant brother, Jerry Schroeder.  Other siblings-in-law have also preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 am on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert, with Rev. Mark Peterson officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am until 11:15 am on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

Krepline family Iam so very sorry for your loss! I worked many years with Joyce at Fromageries bel in Hilbert. Her and Dorthy Koffarnaus would always chum together go to rummage sales, out to eat, many things. Always so much fun and she was always very nice.It didn't matter to them if I was much younger than her, but her and Dorthy would always invite me along. Good times and great memories of a great lady!
