Judith F. “Judy” Propson, age 85, of Hilbert, died on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.  She was born March 18, 1941 in Appleton, daughter of the late Roger & Amanda (Krueger) Ott.  On October 11, 1958, she married Ralph J. Propson at St. John Catholic Church in St. John where she had been a lifelong member and actively served the church through the Christian Women Society.  

For about 30 years, Judy worked at Tecumseh Engines in New Holstein until her retirement.  

Back in the day, Judy enjoyed heading out with her husband to go bowling and always claiming that she was the better bowler of the two.  She also looked forward to nights of card playing with the card clubs she belonged to in the area.  She was an excellent baker and frequently took opportunities to bake homemade delicacies for her children.  Judy also found tremendous relaxation by tending to her plants and flowers around her yard and watching the beautiful red cardinals brighten her surroundings.  Above all, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her entire life.  She truly loved having them around and looked forward to attending any and all of their activities that she could.  

Survivors include her husband: Ralph; her children: Keith (Tammy) Propson, Karl (Becky) Propson, Kim (Chuck) Koechell, Kay Koats, Kurt (Erin) Propson; a daughter-in-law: Lynn Propson; her 15 grandchildren: Ryan (Brianna) Propson, Karissa (Chad Zirbel) Propson, Brett Propson & his special friend, Candice, Brady (Laura) Propson, Taylor Propson, Leah (Korey) Peterson, Zach (Anna) Propson, Brooke (Matt) Stepniewski, Bryce Koechell, MacKenzie Koats, Caleb (Kaisee) Koats, Collin Koats, Drake Propson, Grant (Macailey) Propson, Meghan Propson; 15 great grandchildren: Carter & Chloe Propson, Beckett & Kieran Zirbel, Kinsley & Sawyer Propson, Colton & Caden Propson, Tatum & Owen Peterson, Griffin & Myles Propson, Brynley Stepniewski, Isabella Koechell, Braylen Propson; her siblings: Nancy Davidson, Mark (Vicki) Ott; and her siblings-in-law: Kathy Ott, Judy Ott, Sue Ott, Jim Fredrich & Bill Dietzen.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Kevin Propson; a son-in-law: Terry Koats; a granddaughter; Noelle Propson, and her siblings: Jerome Ott, Norman Ott, Larry Ott, Donna Fredrich, Bonnie Dietzen, Bryan Ott & Dale Ott.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Monday, April 27, 2026 at St. John Catholic Church (N7692 CTH-BB, Hilbert, Wisconsin) in St. John with Rev. Michael Betley officiating.  Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be held at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton on Sunday April 26, 2026 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm and on Monday at the church from 9:00 am until 10:15 am.  There will be a vigil service at the close of the visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, April 26, 2026.  At the time of the service and following, there will be a link available above for those wishing to watch a memorial video or see pictures of the flowers and gifts given to the family.
