Julaine A Hanneman
Chilton WI
Julaine A. Hanneman, age 92, of Chilton, died on July 29, 2025, at her daughter’s home. She was born July 21, 1933, in Oshkosh, daughter of the late Frank and Flora (Abraham) Koffke. She married Eugene Hanneman on August 18, 1951, and his work had them relocate to Hastings, Minnesota, and Boone, Iowa, before settling back in Wisconsin. Along the way they had three children.
Julaine embraced the belief of the “Three F’s”: faith, family, and friends. Her home was her castle and she cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Nana.” Presentation was important to her - she always had to be “put together” with a look of dignified grace, as well as having her home decorated and organized with beautiful flower beds outside. Her grandchildren joke that, “No one could vacuum a mattress like grandma.” She ironed everything, including sheets and handkerchiefs.
Julaine was a wonderful singer, participating in the church choir and community organization performances. She liked listening to anything from the “American Songbook,” from Frank Sinatra, to Patsy Cline, to big band swing. She was an avid reader and stayed updated on current events. She also enjoyed getting around a table with family or friends to play some cards.
Julaine is survived by her children: Vicki (Lee) Roehrig and Douglas (Kathy) Hanneman; grandchildren: Ann (Stephen) St. Jacque, Kate (Richard) Juedes, Mark (Johanna) Hanneman, and Benjamin (Cara) Hanneman; great-grandchildren: Mikayla Juedes, Abigail Juedes, Garrett Juedes, Thomas St. Jacque, Bradley Hanneman, Henrik Hanneman, Kyle Hanneman, and Annika Hanneman.
Julaine was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; her parents: Frank and Flora; a son: Thomas Hanneman; siblings: Mildred (Andy) Karkula, Marvin Koffke, Doris (Bob) Troiber, Edith (Byron) Wilson, and Gordon (Donna) Koffke; Eugene's parents: Henry and Hilda Hanneman; and in-laws: Shirley (Tom) Michels and Elaine (Fred) Hotchkiss.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church (338 N. Eagle St.) in Oshkosh. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church on the day of service. Julaine will be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh.
Julaine's family would like to thank Dr. Beine, as well as all of the nurses and staff at Calumet County Homecare and Hospice for all of the loving care and attention that was given to Julaine as well as her family.
Condolences
I first met Julaine at the library when she volunteered to take books to shut ins. She had such a good heart. Later we played cards and we looked to her to solve our questions about procedures. She had a wonderful laugh and we laughed a lot. She was always so well dressed and kept her house spotless and beautiful. We all missed her so when she moved to Chilton, but I know she was well taken care of by you, Vicki and Douglas. My condolences for your great loss.

When I was a kid I grew up on Lark Street in Oshkosh. The Hannemas’s were neighbors for many years. They were the BEST neighbors anyone could ask for. I hung out with Vicki and my brother hung out with Dougie (and still does) Sincere condolences to everyone. Julaine was a warm hearted and loving person and surely will be missed by all that knew her.????

Missed Juliane so much when she moved to Chilton. She was our coach and referee at playing cards - the rest of us were ignorant or addled. We had fun anyway. So sorry for you loss.
