June C. Groeschel (Ingalls), age 92, of Stockbridge, died on November 4, 2022, at Thedacare Medical Center in New London. She was born December 18, 1929, to Edward and Lena (Hommerding) Ingalls in Aniwa, Wisconsin. She married Herbert Groeschel on February 26, 1949, at St. Mary in Stockbridge.
June was a housewife, farmer, and worked at Chilton Nursing Home throughout her life. June did a lot of gardening and canning over the years. June loved going up to Oneida with her daughters when she could. She was also a member of the Legion Auxiliary - Stockbridge.
June is survived by her daughters: Rose Mary Heller, Darlene Brandt, and Shirley (Tim) Kopiske; a son: Jim (Kathy) Groeschel; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; parents: Edward and Lena Ingalls; daughters: Mary Ann Olson and Linda Lodel; sons-in-law: Arthur Olson, Harold Brandt, and Henry Lodel; grandson: Tom Olson; great-granddaughter: Zendaya Groeschel; two sisters: Violet Smitmajer and Pearl Cleveland; and a brother: Tom Ingalls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at St. Mary of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church (120 Davis St.) in Stockbridge. Friends may call from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at the church on the day of service. A committal service will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Stockbridge following church services.
June’s family would like to thank the first responders from Stockbridge, and the doctors and nurses at Thedacare - Appleton and Thedacare - New London, for all of the love and care that was shown to their mom.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of June Groeschel.
