Karl A. Wagner, age 59, of Chilton, died on Sunday, March 8, 2020 in Chilton.  He was born April 23, 1960 in Chilton, son of the late Henry & Rosemary (Eberle) Wagner.

Karl began his proud working career as a machinist, learning everything he could day by day at Tecumseh Engines in New Holstein.  At the time Tecumseh closed, he worked at Banta for about 10 years until being hired in the Performance Division of Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac.  His creative mind served him well in this role, and he loved what he did.

As a federally licensed pyro-technician, Karl loved putting together firework displays for all to see.  He was a fire arm fanatic who appreciated the concept of deer hunting, but didn’t find a lot of success in the sport; he did, however, enjoy every moment spent in the woods.

He was a genuinely kind hearted human being who was forever generous the the people around him.  He did many things on a whim and loved to have fun with those he loved.

Survivors include his children: Kelly Schabach & Ty Wagner; 3 grandchildren: Finn Wagner, Dylan Kobussen & Brea Halda; and his siblings: Michael (Darla) Wagner, Patricia Sidney, Barbara Wagner, Joyce (Joe) Evraets, Kristine Wagner-Sharp, LuAnn Wagner, Jackie (Jeff) Pellegrini, Hugh Wagner, Jill (Brad) Wagner-Kelly, Marti (Kevin) Maas.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Karl was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister: Nikki Wagner.

Private family gatherings are being held.
Very sad to hear about Karl. He was a great friend and was always entertaining. A fond memory is when we lived together and my cat would wait to scare Karl every morning. He will be missed. Karl, I'll go to the range in your honor. Rest easy my friend.

Karl was a clever, funny guy who showed a sunny face to the world and who seemed to roll with the punches. It is a privilege to have him as a brother.
