Katherine E. Bush, “Kathy”; age 80, of New Holstein, was lifted up to the angels to meet Jesus on September 26, 2024. She was born on May 13, 1944, to the late William and Armella Bolz, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI. 

Kathy attended grade school at St. Mary Catholic School and graduated from Chilton High School in 1962.  She became a CNA when she was 16 and in September of 1962 she started nursing school, graduating in August of 1963, as an LPN. Kathy worked many years as a nurse at the Chilton Hospital and Willowdale Nursing Home.

Kathy met her first husband, John Diener, at a dance and they were married in 1964. They had 4 children  together before his passing 15 years later.  She then met her second husband, William Bush, at a firemen’s picnic in Chilton, and they were married in 1983. They were married for 28 years before his passing in 2012.

Katherine is survived by her children: Brian, Mark, Lynn and Robert Diener; her step-children, her two brothers: Dave (Nancy) Bolz, and John Bolz; as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husbands: John Diener and William Bush; her parents: William and Armella Bolz and her brother Kenneth Bolz.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home on the day of service.
