Kevin J Woelfel
Chilton, WI

Kevin J. Woelfel, age 47, of Chilton, died on December 7, 2020 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Neenah.  He was born May 23, 1973, son of Alphonse and Cleta (Keuler) Woelfel.

Kevin graduated from Chilton High School in 1991 and entered in the work force.  He was a craftsman that had many talents and always worked in construction.   For the past 27 years he has been employed by Hamann Construction Company in Manitowoc, most recently as a job supervisor.

Kevin met his partner and love of his life, Pam Hofschild, while enjoying an outdoor sporting event.  They got married on September 2, 2000 at St. John United Church of Christ in New Holstein.  Kevin and Pam started their family together and had two children, Cole and Callie.

No matter the time of year, you could always find Kevin enjoying the outdoors.  He looked forward to fishing for walleye and sturgeon spearing on Lake Winnebago or packing up to go to Lake Erie for a few days to see what he could take home.  Kevin was also a member of the Quinney Fishing Club.  In the Fall months he tried his luck bow hunting and gun hunting.  An avid outdoorsman who didn’t complain about the weather, rather enjoyed anything he did while being outside.

As a dedicated family man, he was always willing to go the extra mile for his family.  Kevin was a member of the Chilton Athletic Club and coached baseball and basketball when his children were younger.  He was a caring, helpful, loving, funny person who didn’t want to miss a sporting event that his children were participating in.  If you couldn’t find Kevin hunting, fishing, or at his children’s events, he would be found grilling in his backyard with a beer in hand.  He was in his happy place to be cooking up a good burger or brat to go along with his cold drink in hand.

Kevin will be greatly missed by his wife, Pam; his children; Cole and Callie Woelfel and her special friend, Dylan Anhalt; mother, Cleta Woelfel; brother, Doug (Sarah) Woelfel; mother-in-law, Nancy Hofschild; sister-in-law, Sheila (Dennis) Diefenthaler; brother-in-law, Scott (Jennifer) Hofschild; nieces and nephews: Derek and Erin Diefenthaler, Rachel and Daniel Woelfel; Godmother, Marion Fannin; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alphonse Woelfel and father-in-law, Bruce Hofschild.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W Main St) in Chilton.  Burial will be in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery.  A time for visitaiton will be Friday, December 18, 2020 at Wieting Family Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Satruday, December 19, 2020 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  To watch a video livestream of Kevin's service, please click HERE

Pam, Cole and Callie,
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
May you find comfort in Psalm 28:7. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.

Pam, Cole, and Callie:
May God give you strength and comfort during this difficult time. Remember, when someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.
Turn your hurt into healing, your wounds into wisdom
and your pain into power.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
