LeRoy E. Stenson, age 87, of Chilton, died on October 3, 2021, at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh. He was born September 1, 1934, son of the late Victor and Anna Stenson. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and married Patricia Hooper on March 30, 1966.

LeRoy worked nearly 30 years at Tecumseh, along with driving truck, working construction, and fixing just about anything his entire life. Despite all of his hard work, that’s where his seriousness ended. He was always joking around and pulling pranks, and he could keep a straight face the entire time. He had a love for traveling and the outdoors. He took trips to Wyoming and Alaska for hunting and fishing, and he and Pat hit 49 out of the 50 states, as well as Ireland and most of the islands in the Caribbean.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Patricia; their children: Kristi (Gary) Burdey, Michael (Tricia) Stenson, and Carol King; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters: Rita Hentges and Barbara Stenson; brother-in-law: Dennis Anderson; and sister-in-law: Carol Lehman.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Anna; siblings: Mary Ann Duncan, Lois Anderson, Kenneth (Barbara) Stenson, David Stenson, and James Stenson.

Private services are being held for LeRoy.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in the name of LeRoy Stenson. Cards and memorials can be sent to the Wieting Family Funeral Home ℅ Patricia Stenson 411 W. Main St. Chilton, WI 53014

The memories and stories I have of Uncle Leroy from the mid fifties and on could fill a book, I hope that some day soon we can gather around and share our stories as the Stenson family has always done any time we have gathered. Leroy will be missed but never forgotten.

His laughter! His laughter was booming and contagious and usually followed an hysterical prank. He was awesome..
