Linda L Lodel
Chilton, WI

Linda Lou (Groeschel) Lodel, 64, of Chilton, died on August 21, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born October 8, 1953, in Appleton, WI, daughter of Herbert and June (Ingalls) Groeschel. She married Henry Lodel on November 23, 1973, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stockbridge, and together they had two children, Chad and Rhonda.

Linda was a sweet woman that loved to spend time with her grandchildren and play games with her friends and family. She was always down for a game of cards, whether it be Sheepshead, Phase 10, or 31. Linda, Henry, and her sister, Rose Mary, enjoyed jumping in the car for trips to casinos around the area to try their luck at the slot machines. During her free time, Linda never missed Days of Our Lives; she loved watching the Green Bay Packers and liked watching game shows. She spent a number of years working for Kohler and retired from Sargento Cheese after many years of service.

Linda is survived by her husband, Henry; her mother: June; her children: Chad Lodel and Rhonda Verity; grandchildren: Alycia Cayemberg, Emma Verity, and Rebecca Verity; sisters: Rose Mary Heller, Darlene Brandt, and Shirley (Tim) Kopiske; a brother: Jim (Kathy) Groeschel; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Groeschel; a sister: Mary Ann (Arthur) Olson;  a nephew: Thomas Olson; a great-niece: Zendaya Groeschel; a brother-in-law: Harold Brandt; her grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services are set for 6:00pm on Friday, September 7, 2018, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call from 2:00pm until 6:00pm on the day of the service at the funeral home. A committal service is planned at Hillside Cemetery in Chilton on Saturday, September 8, 2018.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set-up in Linda’s name.

I remember when she got married to Hank. I was 13 and thought she was so lucky to have a cute guy and she was so very pretty. And a guy who could sew her clothes and help her out so much.
