Lois C Heimerl

Hilbert WI

Lois Catherine Heimerl, age 84, of Hilbert, died on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Willowdale Health and Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein.  She was born December 22, 1937 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, daughter of the late Peter & Irma (Mueller) Koehler.  Lois married Delvin Heimerl on May 7, 1960 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert; he preceded her in death on November 26, 2014.

During her life, Lois dedicated 41 years working at Tecumseh Products until her retirement in 2000.

Lois actively lived her faith, both in her church and in the community.  She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert and devoted uninterrupted time praying the Rosary.  It was at St. Mary that she was also involved with the Christian Women and volunteered time with Meals on Wheels and the Hilbert Meal Site.  As a Faithful Woman of the Gospel outreach in her community, Lois belonged to the Eagle’s Club where she devoted countless hours for the annual blood drive.

When she wasn’t serving the people around her, she looked forward to puzzles, playing dominoes, dice games and games of cards with friends, family and those she loved.

She is survived by her sister: Janice Kolbe; and her faithful caretakers who tended to both Delvin and Lois’ needs and concerns throughout their lives, Sheila Oakley and her family.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Delvin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Friday, December 9, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church (108 S. 6th St.) in Hilbert with Rev. Michael Betley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, December 9, 2022.
