Lois E Pruitt-Fluhr
Chilton WI
Lois E. Pruitt-Fluhr, age 82, of Chilton, died on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her home in Chilton. She was born May 4, 1941 in Chilton, daughter of the late William Bernetzke and Ida (Ness) Toth.
Lois devoted much of her working career as a caretaker for the elderly, and proudly served as the activity director at the Toth Nursing Home in Chilton.
Beyond going dancing in her younger years and stock car racing, Lois also had a passion for bowling. She honed her bowling skills with her mother, sisters and friends as they traveled throughout the State of Wisconsin and beyond bowling in many tournaments. As time went on, Lois appreciated moments traveling being a snowbird and hitting up casinos, never passing up an opportunity to play Bingo. Her four legged friends were everything to Lois, and she continually showed a lot of affection to her dogs and the birds she fed.
Lois will forever be remembered as a passionate, strong woman who was continually outspoken and was never afraid to share her thoughts.
She is survived by her children: Tammy (Hank) Gillig, Leon Scott Groeschl, Jody (William) Snyder, Lonnie Groeschl, Therese (Nathan) Wusterbarth; 9 grandchildren: Brandon Gillig and his significant other, Dana Salm, Jerrit(Monica) Gillig, Trisha (Corey) Voigt, Scott (Maria) Groeschl, Kourtney Groeschl, Ian Groeschl, Talicia Wusterbarth, Vanessa Wusterbarth, Kaleb Wusterbarth; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Bill Bernetzke. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Leon J. Groeschl, Leonardo T. Pruitt & Earl Fluhr; a grandchild: Jamie Hubschmann; and her sisters: Alice Heuvelmans, Frieda Paape & Barbara Paape.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 pm on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton with Rev. Dr. Marc Axelrod officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Chilton. A time of visitation will be held at the Wieting Family Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 2:30 pm on Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Grew up with the family. My deepest condolences to the family. May God wrap his arms around all of you and give you strength during this difficult time. She will be greatly missed as she would always remind me of how much I looked like my mom and would call me by my mother's name instead of mine with a smile and a chuckle. Gonna miss her a lot!

I first met Lois 3 1/2 years ago at Uptown Commons. She had many struggles but worked through them all. We talked about God on several occasions...she said "I am ready" Loved her smile....enjoyed Bingo and seeing her dolls and dog. She will certainly be missed by her family and friends. May God bless each one with his love and peace.
