Lorraine E Ammerman
Chilton, WI

Lorraine E. Ammerman, age 91, of Chilton, died on October 19, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born March 1, 1928, daughter of George and Margaret Grafer. On September 7, 1946, she married Floyd Ammerman in Chicago and they had four children.

Lorraine was active within the community, and her faith was very important to her. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW and the Chilton Eagle’s Club. She enjoyed bowling and played on leagues throughout the years. She continued having lunch with her bowling and work friends right up until the end. She went to church every Sunday and prayed the rosary daily. Sundays also meant having a Bloody Mary and watching the Packers. She liked to crochet blankets and listen to Patsy Cline. She was loved by anyone that met her.

Lorraine is survived by her children: Laura Fritschka, Donna (Richard) Witkowski, Floyd Allan (Susan) Ammerman, and Dawn (Michael) Schmidt; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Margaret Collins, Helen (Richard) Swallow, and Barbara Pollace; brothers: Richard (Angie) Grafer and James Thomas Grafer; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents: George and Margaret; a grandson: Todd Fritschka; a sister: Mary Jane (Noffy) Servedio; brothers: George (Jacquelyn) Grafer and Carl (Marge) Grafer; and a brother-in-law: John Collins.

A funeral service has been set for 4:30 on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call from 1:00pm to 3:15pm at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Prayers and rosary will take place at 3:15pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Chilton, the Chilton VFW, or the Chilton Eagles Club.
My sincere sympathies to the family. It was always nice to see Lorraine at VFW Auxiliary meetings.

My most favorite memory of grandma was doing her makeup and hair then driving to the casino to play bingo.
Lorraine was very patient, kind, funny and loving towards her grandchildren Liz, Alycia and Corey and cherished them very much.
We already miss her so very much❤❤❤

I remember going over by the Ammerman's in grade school. Mrs. Ammerman was a kind and loving woman who was so loved by her family. I would like to extend my deepest and heartfelt sympathy to all of the family during your time of sorrow. Mrs. Ammerman lived a full life. God Bless all of you.
