Order Prohibiting Mass Gatherings of 10 People or More has been issued for the State of Wisconsin.
This does effect how we will be conducting our funerals both in the funeral home and at churches.
On behalf of the family and Wieting Family Funeral Home we are sorry for any inconvenience.

Lorraine M. Fochs, age 86, of Hilbert, died on March 22, 2020, at Westhaven Assisted Living in Brillion. She was born March 11, 1934, daughter of the late Edward and Phyllis Diedrich. On June 3, 1953, she married Alfred Fochs and together they had eight children.

Lorraine was a woman of faith who selflessly gave her time to others. She was a member at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert and, through the years, was  active in the Catholic Order of Foresters, Christian Mothers, and the church choir where she met Alfred. She was a devoted wife and mother and even found time to make amazing wedding cakes for people’s special occasions and crochet afghans and countless other handmade gifts for her family and friends.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Alfred; children: Steve Fochs, Cindy Pitt, David (Mary) Fochs, Mary (Andrew) Lapp, Bonnie Kolbe (Al Thelen), Holly (Thomas) Schroeder, Sheri Hartzheim (Joseph Dotterweich), and Carla (John) Iwanski; 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; brother: Kenneth (Carol) Diedrich; sister-in-law: Rita Burns; brothers-in-law: Howard Fochs, Mathias (Pat) Fochs, and Arthur (Sue) Fochs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Phyllis; Alfred’s parents: Mathias Fochs and Maryann (Clem) Kampa; son-in-law: Keith Pitt; daughter-in-law: Lynn Fochs; and sisters-in-law: Laverne (Gilbert) Schumacher, Lucille (Harold) Van Haren, and Nancy Diedrich.

A celebration of Lorraine’s life will be held at a later date (yet to be determined). As such, the family requests flowers not be sent at this time. Memorial contributions can instead be made to St Mary Catholic Church, Hilbert, WI or Calumet County Hospice.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Calumet County Hospice for their excellent care of Lorraine.
We will always remember the smile on Lorrie's face whenever she entered the square dance setting. When we had meeting at Lorrie and Al's home, she was a gracious hostess.
Lorrie you will now be able to dance in the great square in heaven.

I know Al better, through work at WMPCO, but I extend my heartfelt sympathies to the entire family.

Steve was a good friend of my deceased husband Jim. Lorraine and Al have always treated us like family. My prayers are with the whole family.
