LouAnn Seidl

Fond du Lac WI

LouAnn passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on February 10, 2026, at Eden Vista in Fond du Lac, WI.  She was born on May 3, 1939, to the late Christian and Pauline Glasow.  Following her graduation from Hilbert High School, LouAnn went on to beauty school in Green Bay, WI.  It was then when she met Robert (Bob) Seidl and they were married September 29, 1962.

LouAnn was employed part-time at the Hilbert Beauty Shop for many years.   She also volunteered at Rocky Knoll as a beautician for over 20 years. LouAnn loved to sing in the church choir and she was a long time member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert, WI.

She loved to bake, especially cookies and rice Krispie treats. She also loved to can dill pickles and beets. Her favorite hobby was reading books and she cherished reading books to her pride and joy grandson, Trenton. She loved blowing paper with him (or “kerfews” as Trenton said). LouAnn also enjoyed dog sitting for her grand-dogs, Banjo and Duncan.

LouAnn loved to travel and took many trips with her family.  One of the last big trips she wanted after Bob passed away was getting back to Hawaii one more time.  She was also able to go to New York with Dan and she was able to watch her grandson, Trenton, march at Disney World with his high school band.

LouAnn will be sadly missed by her son, Dan Seidl, and daughter, Jen (Rick) VanderSande; and her grandson, Trenton.  She will also be missed by her in-laws: Bill (Jean) Seidl, Diane (Mark) Engel, and Leo King; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Christian and Pauline Glasow; her husband of 54 years, Robert “Bob” Seidl; her daughter-in-law: Deb Seidl; her sisters:Doris (Willard) Franz and Elverta (Bob) Olson; her brother: Christian (Bev) Glasow;  her sisters-in-laws: Shirley (Richard) Giese and Eunice King.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at St. Peter Lutheran Church (43 N. 3rd St.) in Hilbert, with Rev. Mark Peterson officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton, and from 9:30 am until 10:45 am at the church on the day of service. LouAnn will be laid to rest at St. Peter Cemetery in Hilbert. At the time of the service and following, there will be a link available for those that wish to watch a livestream or archived recording of the service, watch a memorial video, or see pictures of the flowers and gifts given to the family, on their website page provided through wietingfuneralhome.com
