Marie A Hauser
Chilton WI
Marie A. Hauser, age 95, of Chilton, died on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at St. Paul Elder Home in Kaukauna. She was born December 8, 1929 in Hilbert, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Oscar & Veronica (Nilles) Pruess.
On June 8, 1948, she married Harold Hauser at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert and together they enjoyed time spent traveling throughout the United States. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1999.
Marie dedicated her life to raising and caring for her children and once they were a little older she began working as the secretary for St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton and later at Chilton Manufacturing.
In her free time, Marie enjoyed reading, sitting down for a good game of cards and Polka Dancing with Harold throughout the area.
Those that knew Marie loved her spunky demeanor and her sassy attitude. You could always count on her to say exactly what was on her mind, but she would always do so out of love; and she certainly loved hard.
Survivors include her children: John (Wendy) Hauser, Jane Schaefer, Julie (Edward) Berg; her grandchildren: Kory (Lisa) Hauser, Kelly (Brent) Daulfeldt, Devon Hauser, Kyle (Laura) Schaefer, Katie (Matthew) Phillip, Kristin (Matthew) Bruckner, Amy (Derek) Lutz, Tracy (Bob) Kavanaugh; step-grandchildren: Melania (Rob) Covey, Heidi Bott; 17 great grandchildren: Lucia & Beckett Hauser, Cael, Cole, Kylee & Khloe Daulfeldt, Grayson & Josie Hauser, Cora & Levi Phillip, Opal, Link & Ruby Bruckner, Hailey & Carley Kavanaugh, Amber & Kara Lutz; step great grandchildren: Kate & Ellie Covey, Mya & Lilly Bott; her siblings: Janice Marx, Alan (Sherry) Pruess; and a sister-in-law: Mary Pruess. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Harold; a son-in-law: Michael Schaefer; her parents-in-law: John & Mary Hauser; her siblings: Arthur (Magdalen) Pruess, Donald Pruess, Carol (Roman) Marx; and her siblings-in-law: Ervin (Marie) Hauser, Geraldine Baird, David (Joyce) Hauser, Donald Hauser, Oscar Hauser, Robert Hauser, Doris Dohr.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton with Dcn. Dennis Bennin officiating. Entombment will be in the Knollwood Mausoleum. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:45 am on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
