Marion R. Fannin passed away on September 7th, 2021 at her home in Chilton, surrounded by her loving family. 

Marion was born in Washington County, WI on April 21, 1929 to Joseph and Eleanor (Anhalt) Bolz. She married her first husband, Donald G. McMunn on May 20, 1950 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. They were married for five years when Don passed away. Several years later, she married Jerome J. Keuler on July 6, 1957 at St. Mary’s Church in Chilton. They were married for nineteen years when Jerome died. On June 25, 1988, Marion married Arthur L. Fannin at St. Mary’s Church in Chilton. They were married for thirty years when Art passed away. 

Marion worked for the Chilton Times Journal for over eighteen years when she retired in 1990. Marion and Art spent their retirement traveling to Las Vegas and played many games of bingo and video poker at Oneida Casino.  Marion was known for her crafting and gardening skills. She always had the most gorgeous flower beds and enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in her quaint backyard. Marion spent many hours in the kitchen and was especially known for her famous peanut squares. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1951. 

Marion was very involved in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives. She taught many valuable life lessons and skills they will forever cherish. 

Marion is survived by two children: Gail McMunn of Pine River and Judy (Steve) Mueller of Chilton; son-in-law Larry (Jackie) Wunrow of Chilton; four step-children: Lyla (David) Nennig of Osceola, IA, Harry (Karen) Fannin of St. Cloud, Joe (Jackie) Fannin of New Holstein, and Larry (Barb) Fannin of St. Cloud; 23 grandchildren: Jason (Tamara) Wendt, Michelle Cartwright, John (Mary) Wunrow, Jenny Brock, Matt (Lindsey) Mueller, Kayla (Matt) Ecker, Derek Mueller, Lindsey (Shane) Gerner, Marisa (Michael) Kluth, David Hoier, Leah (Bob) Benzinger, Terah (Brian) Bowe, Wes (Nicole) Fannin, Kyle (Courtney) Fannin, Kasey Fannin, Karli (Jordan) Beyersdorf, Kean Fannin, Maci Fannin, Stacy (Bob) Woelfel, Lori (Bob) Schmitz, Amy Kautzer, Lisa Hostettler and Shawn Nennig; 41 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grand child, with one more on the way; brother Fred (Dee) Bolz and sisters-in-laws Eileen Bolz, Cleta Woelfel, Della Baker, and Cleo Fannin. 

She was proceeded in death by her parents; Joseph and Eleanor Bolz; three husbands: Donald McMunn, Jerome Keuler, and Arthur Fannin; two children: Tom McMunn and Debbie Wunrow; a great-grandson: Elias Kluth, siblings: Carmen (Melvin) Schmidt, Frank Bolz, Jerome (Martha) Bolz, Joseph (Adeline) Bolz, June (Clem) Arenz; brother and sister-in laws Jerome (Delores) McMunn, James (June) McMunn, Glenroy (Alice) Keuler, Bernice (Arnold) Hertel, Alphonse Woelfel, Harry (Lee) Fannin, Eugene (Mahala) Fannin, Allen (Gwen) Fannin, Milton Fannin, Rex (Carol) Fannin, Jim Baker and Pat (Bob) Fenwick. 

The family sends a special thank you to the caring staff with the Calumet County Hospice (Faye, Linda, Amanda, and Cindy), Amanda Hackbarth for the amazing care she has given Marion over the last few years, and Father Jon Thorsen. 

Mass of Christian Burial is set for Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Parish in Chilton. Visitation will be held before the funeral service from 9:00-11:15 a.m. at Good Shepherd.
