Our beloved Mark Wray Geier, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was born to the late Clarence “Jinx” and Arvada Geier in Wausau, Wisconsin, on August 29, 1952.
Mark was a devoted father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He worked for many years as a salesman for home services where he was currently employed at Larson and Keeney Home Services for the last 12 years. In his free time, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family - especially his grandchildren.
Mark is survived by his wife, Mary Geier, of 45 years; his daughter: Jessica (Jacob) Erspamer; grandchildren: Alexandria Geier (fiance, Jonathan Wenger), Carter Geier, Blake Erspamer, Kevin Maki, Nash Geier, Paige Geier, and Savannah Lecher; great-grandchildren: Waylon and Wrenn Geier; sisters: Sherrie (Tom) Emmerich, Ginger Witte, and Faye Lake. He is further survived by many other aunts, uncles, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Tony Geier; mother-in-law: Marion Parker; father-in-law: Lyman Parker; and other loved ones.
A time for public story sharing and memories will begin at 4:15 pm followed by the funeral service at 4:30 pm on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Visitation hours will be at the Wieting Family Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on the day of service. At the time of service and following, there will be a link available for those wishing to watch a memorial video, or view flowers and gifts given to the family, on their website page provided through wietingfuneralhome.com

Mary, I wish to extend my most heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I only met Mark a couple of times when he was selling brother Jim some building products, but he surely seemed to be a great guy. Mary and Jessica. I know these times are hard and nothing anyone says will make pain go away. I know that all to well. But believe in our Lord and Savior and he shall hold you up and keep you going in Marks name and in his memories. Mark is and always will be a great man and will greatly missed. Jessica for all the years I've know you your dad was one in a million. Always smiling always accepting a damn hardworker and provider to his family. The news of his passing hit like a ton of bricks. Your dad was always so proud of his little girl and will continue to be proud of you no matter what. He is watching you always!
