Mary K Kelly

Rantoul WI

Mary K. Kelly, 58, of Rantoul, passed away on Friday, May 12th, 2023 at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton while surrounded by her family. She was born September 3rd, 1964 in Chicago, IL to the late Josef Walter and JoAnn (Beck) Walter. She was a graduate of Kiel High School and attended Lakeland College where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Throughout Mary's career she held several roles within customer service, most recently she was a Manager at Time Investment Corporation in West Bend.

Mary met Jason Kelly in 2000 and they wed on May 31st, 2001 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilton. She enjoyed spending time with Jason and traveling all over the state to try different restaurants - even driving all the way to Wausau one morning just for breakfast. Mary also liked crocheting beautiful blankets for loved ones, going for walks on their peaceful country roads, and experimenting in the kitchen. But above all, Mary loved spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her husband, Jason; their children: JoAnn (Alex) Wagner, Katy (Brandon) Ertl, and Jacob Deibele; her grandchildren: Addison, Caroline, and August; siblings: Loretta (Melan) Matic, Jennifer (Cory) Gill, and Josef (Tricia) Walter; a niece and nephew: Anna and Eric Matic; and parents-in-law: Gary and Pat Kelly.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Josef and JoAnn (Beck) Walter.

A burial will be held at the Rantoul Cemetery (corner of Riverview Road & Harke Road) Saturday, May 20th at 10:00 am with a gathering to follow. It is requested that attendees wear casual attire including red, Mary's favorite color.

Mary’s family would like to thank the caring providers and staff at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton and Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Their kindness and compassion during this difficult journey was much appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Mary’s name to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.

Condolences

Mary was my boss while working at Alta resources in Neenah WI, She was tough but, at the same time she was understanding you could come to her with your struggles and she would be there. She always had a smile on her face. Even would love to get updates and check in on me after she left. She was the best boss/work mom I ever had she will truly be missed.

I worked with Mary while she was employed by Calumet County in their nutrition program. What certainly was a kind, hard working person. May she Rest in Peace.
