Nancy L Diedrich
Hilbert, WI

Nancy L. Diedrich, age 83, of Hilbert, died on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Ascension Calumet Hospital in Chilton.  She was born April 8, 1936 in Chilton, daughter of the late Mathias & Mary Ann (Biedenwolf) Fochs.  At a young age, Nancy’s father, Mathias, died and her mother married Clem Kampa who became her new dad who showed every loving kindness to her in her adult life.

She was a graduate of Hilbert High School, and then attended cosmetology school in Green Bay.  She applied her skill to beauty shops in Hilbert and Brillion before managing and then owning her own shop in Stockbridge until her retirement at the age of 72.

She had married David Diedrich on June 19, 1956 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert, and later shared her life and love with Jim Liebzeit for the past 25 years.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert where she also belonged to the Christian Women and sang as a member of the parish choir for most of her adult life.  She was a woman of great faith, always appreciating the gifts God had continued to bless her with daily.  She was faithful to the life of her parish and remained faithful in her prayer life, daily praying the Rosary.

In her free moments, Nancy enjoyed quilting, tending to her garden, needlework, reading and volunteering at the nursing home in Chilton where she was afforded opportunities to share time and stories with residents.  Nancy’s greatest joy was her family and the moments she could spend with them.  She especially took great joy in her grandchildren, and now great grandchildren, deeply appreciating all that her family had become.

Survivors include the love of her life: Jim Liebzeit; her children: Dianne Diedrich (Ron Keberlein), Daniel (Natalie) Diedrich; Jim’s children: Mary Rose Liebzeit, Richard (Chris) Liebzeit, Tom Fochs, Shirley (Randy) Hunt, Roger (Luann) Liebzeit, Marilyn (Kip) Hasse, Rodney (Maureen) Liebzeit; Nancy’s grandchildren: Whitney (Steve) Boucher, Marcus (Brittni) Diedrich; Jim’s 22 grandchildren; Nancy’s 2 great grandchildren: Carson & Jordyn Diedrich; Jim’s 35 great grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren; Nancy’s siblings: Al (Lorraine) Fochs, Howard Fochs, Rita Burns, Math (Pat) Fochs, Arthur (Sue) Fochs; and Jim’s siblings: Colleen (Clarence) Hoerth, Jerry (Lynn Propson) Liebzeit, Carol Reese, Donny (Janette) Liebzeit.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sisters: LaVerne Schumacher & Lucille VanHarren; Jim’s daughter: Sue Fochs and his son: Raymond Liebzeit; and Jim’s sister: Mary Rose Liebzeit.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 7, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church (108 S. 6th St.) in Hilbert.  Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 6, 2020 and on Friday at the church from 9:30 am until 10:45 am.  Rosary and Parish Vigil will take place at the close of the visitation Thursday evening at the funeral home.
To Nancy's Loved Ones:
May you find comfort in the sure and certain knowledge that you will be together again one day. And may our Heavenly Father be with you during this time to help soothe your hurting hearts.
