Nicholas C Frechette

Stockbridge WI

The world grew a little quieter on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, when Nicholas “Nick” Charles Frechette took his final bow—a moment as unexpected as it was deeply felt by all who loved him. Those who knew Nick knew he never entered or exited a room without leaving a lasting impression or making someone laugh and it seems he chose to leave this life with that same signature spontaneity.

Born on April 25, 1964, Nick packed more joy, curiosity, and sun-soaked adventure into his 61 years than most could manage in two lifetimes. He was a man who lived in pastel colors, khaki shorts, and a great pair of Nike Air Max—tanned gold by the beach (often mistaken for Joe Namath or John Travolta), lit up by the music he loved, and carried by a spirit that never stopped moving toward the next horizon.

Nick believed in three simple truths:
Good music cures most things.
A good meal is better with lots of garlic.
And nature is always the right answer.

Traveling with his family to spend time in nature was his love language. Whether camping in the north woods, discovering new Zydeco dance halls in Louisiana, or chasing the perfect stretch of sand, Nick approached the world with the eyes of someone who wanted to experience it, not just pass through it. And if he came home tanned and refreshed from being immersed in nature, that was proof he was exactly where he belonged.

Nick leaves behind the family he loved with his whole heart, who will miss him endlessly: his wife, Carrie (Brown), and his children, Max, Macquel Brown, Zen (Dream Brown), Jeantelle, Gabriel, and Chantae. He is also survived by his mother, Sandra Frechette; his siblings Bob, Lisa, Monica (Chad Leech), Francine (Jess Londre), Heidi (Jeremy Marshall), and Daniele (Littlebear Webster); his in-laws David Brown and Belinda (Hephner) Brown; and his brothers-in-law Alan Brown and Evan Brown (Alicia Bales). He was a proud uncle to Robin, Nicholas, Oliver (Andrea), Mariah, Alexandria, Giselle, Alexander, Ariel, Michael, Rhiannon, Aiden, and Micah; a beloved godfather to Brittany Borcher; and cherished by his godmother, Bernadette Borcher, along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Nick also leaves behind a soundtrack of memories, laughter shared around the kitchen table, shoulders sun-kissed and wind tasseled hair from perfect beach days, spontaneous road trips, and the steady, unmistakable love he carried for his children. To know Nick was to know warmth and a hearty laugh. He reminded everyone to savor life—to find the right song, the best beach spot, a good meal, and his favorite people to share with, because those were what mattered most to him.

Nick is preceded in death by his father, Lyle Frechette; his grandparents, Dolly (Agnes) and Clarence Brownson, Laverne and Ray Akey, and Bernard Frechette; as well as his grandparents-in-law, Marshall and Sheila Hephner, and Keith and Betty Brown.

As we say goodbye, we choose not to imagine Nick gone, but simply elsewhere—somewhere with ocean waves and a beautiful sky, a plate of something delicious, and his favorite tunes riding the breeze.

A life lived with heart. A spirit impossible to forget.
Rest easy, Nick. Save us a spot on the beach.

Funeral service will be at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton.  A time of visitation will be held at the Wieting Family Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 3:45 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.  At the time of the service and following, there will be a link available above for those wishing to watch a livestream or archived recording of the ceremony, view a memorial video or see pictures of the flowers and gifts given to the family.

Condolences

Memories run deep of our childhood on Joseph street. Little wild hooligans running the streets playing kick the can and hide n seek, building forts. The Frechette family was my second family and Nick was like my little brother. Those memories form who we are today and I like to think we’re all better for the experience. I feel very blessed to have had such an incredible experience. Sending love and the hope that beautiful memories continue to keep you strong in this very sad time. ????

Sending love prayers and condolences to each and everyone in your family. Nick was a beautiful funny guy I didn't get to see often enough because we lived in Minnesota. He left us way too soon. Love and peace to each of you!????

for the past handful of years Nick and I were messaging regularly about world events...we very much shared what we saw happenjing in this puppet show of no matrer what administration was in office and what was to come and why this 'movie' has to play out. Nick had very wise insight. His name for me was sister silver stacker, he was very onto why it was so important for our future to invest in such. I remember Nick bringing theiir family dog Alex throught the back yards, like Conrads, and we would let him run in the big field. Frechettes family is very close and what a beautiful family his mom and dad raised. I remember him showing my brother and I their cool shag carpet in the living room:) Nick has beautiful siblings, a radiantly beaiutiful mother and I was fortunate to work with his dad for many years along with my dad. My sympathy goes to all of you, Nicks wife and children, you were blessed with a beautiful family man, carry out those values always. May you know peace in times of such pain??fly high with your dad, watch over your beautiful wife and kids and loving mother, Bob, Lisa, Monica, Francine, Heidi, and Danielle ....sending love to all of you??
