Orville Jacobs, Sr.
Shawano, WI

Orville Jacobs Sr., age 76 and Judith “Judy” Jacobs, age 73, both of Shawano, died on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 following a vehicle accident in Shawano County.  Judy was born March 13, 1946 in Antigo, daughter of the late Ervin & Elizabeth (Funk) Stone, and Orville was born on July 21, 1943 in Crandon, son of the late Osie & Alene (Bellomy) Jacobs.  The couple was married on August 8, 1964 in Waukegan, Illinois.

Judy began her working career in New Holstein, but had spent most of her employment at Foley Company in Chilton until the plant was closed.  She then worked for Worthington Cylinders in Chilton until her retirement at the age of 63.

She was a voracious reader, enjoyed crocheting and moments of time spent at the casino.  She loved being around her grandchildren and looked forward to special phone calls from her grandson, Gary.

As a welder, Orville worked at various manufacturing and fabrication places throughout the area, but retired from Miller-St.Nazianz at the age of 62. Orville was a jack-of-all trades who had a mind of his own.  He could often be found tinkering on lawn mowers, cars, or anything else that had a motor.  Orville and Judy loved to camp together and appreciated the “Little Slice of Heaven” they worked toward in Shawano.

Survivors include their children: Kevin (Dawn) Jacobs, Brian (Jenny) Jacobs, Orville, Jr. (Mindy) Jacobs, Jodi (Steve) Hammen & Ben Jacobs; grandchildren: Danielle, Arielle, Jasmin, Jayson, Alex, Skylar, Gary, Sierra, Joshua, Katrina, Tristen, Jack & Bella; Judy’s siblings: Beverly Van Rensselear, Joe (Sharon) Stone & Donna (Bob) Whede; and Orville’s siblings: Mary (Pete) Pfaff, Ronald Jacobs, Tim Jacobs, Sarah (Mark) Smith, Gayle (Tom) Wolf.  They are both further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2020.
Love the pictures. We played many a board game and cards with them., so much fun. Judy always had a pot of coffee going. I remember going snow mobiling with Orville—he kept ‘em going!

As a child my favorite memory of Uncle Orville was him bringing candy when he would visit

Aunt Judy had a contagious laugh.

Miss both of you!
