Philip J Roginski

Chilton WI

Philip J. “Phil” Roginski, age 50, of Chilton, died in Chilton on September 25, 2024. He was born in Wisconsin Rapids on August 21, 1974, son of Patti Roginski (Michael Mantie) and John (Debbie) Roginski. Following high school, Phil joined the Army where he proudly served until his honorable discharge, receiving recognition as an expert marksman with a rifle.

Throughout his life, Phil showed an aptitude for computers and he got his first computer when he was 10 years old. He spent most of his working life as a computer technician, keeping his training and certifications current even after he left the field.

Phil was rather quiet and private but those closest to him came to find him very funny and sarcastic. He was an avid reader and could never just “sit around;” he had to stay busy and keep his mind going. He loved hunting and fishing and even taught his fiancee, Chris, how to hit bullseyes with a bow and arrow.

Phil is survived by his fiancee, Christine Switzer; his father: John (Debbie) Roginski; his mother: Patti Roginski (significant other, Michael Mantie); Christine’s daughter and Phil’s step-daughter: Marissa (Shawn) Graveen; a brother: Paul Roginski; Marissa's children: Letti Graveen and Ember Graveen; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A time for friends and family to share memories and stories of Phil will take place at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home, followed by military honors in recognition of Phil’s service to our country. Friends may call from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the funeral home on the same day.  At the time of the service, there will be a link available above for those wishing to watch a livestream or archived recording of the service, watch a memorial video, or see photos of the flowers and gifts given to the family.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Philip Roginski. Memorials can be sent to Wieting Family Funeral Home c/o Philip Roginski 411 W. Main St. Chilton, WI 53014
