Rev. Allen A Geiser
Green Bay WI
With faith in the Resurrection of our Lord, we offer our prayers for Reverend Allen Alois Geiser, who entered eternal life on September 13, 2026, at the age of 77.
Father Geiser was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on March 10, 1949, to Gregory & Celestine (Wagner) Geiser. He attended Chilton High School and then went on to St. Thomas College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He also attended St. John Vianney College in St. Paul. He went on to earn his BA in Political Science and his Master of Divinity at the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Illinois.
On June 2, 1990, Father Geiser was ordained a priest at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral by Bishop Adam Maida. Father Geiser began his ministry as Parochial Vicar at Holy Name of Jesus Christ Parish in Kimberly, Wisconsin, then at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Kaukauna in 1991. For the next two years, Father Geiser was Parochial Vicar in Oshkosh at St. Mary Church, now known as Most Blessed Sacrament.
For the next fifteen years, from 1993 until 2008, Father Geiser served at St. Patrick Church, Askeaton, first as Temporary Administrator then Pastor. In 2008, Father Geiser took a leave of absence for health reasons and shortly after entered senior status. During this time, he was Chaplain at the McCormick Memorial Home for the Aged in Green Bay until 2019 when he fully retired.
During his life, he was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus in Kimberly, Appleton and Darby and was also a lifetime member of St. Martin Heritage Park in Charlestown.
Survivors include his siblings: Janice Gary, Harold (June) Geiser, Donald (Mary) Geiser; and his godchildren: Debbie Jodar, Gregory Geiser, Gregory Allen Schmidt, Jennifer Hernandez-Perez, Julia Correlas, Hororé Rafamano-Mezantoa, Hector Ramifer, & Jose Calmo. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Mike Geiser, LaVerne (Marty) Schmidt; and a brother-in-law: Bob Gary.
The funeral Mass, expressing our faith in the glory of the Lord's resurrection, will be offered at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Most Reverend David L. Ricken as presiding and Fr. Jim Lucas as homilist. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Chilton. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church from 4:00 pm until 6:30 pm when vigil services will be held and again on Tuesday morning at the church from 9:00 am until 10:45 am.
Condolences
Father Al was a classmate of Bernie’s. We would drive to reunions together. We had some very interesting conversations! We will miss him in October when our class meets for our 59th reunion! We’re sorry to have missed his funeral, but didn’t know he had died. RIP Father Al.

Father Al was a wonderful person and classmate to both me and my husband -- when John died he came to the church and asked if he could preside over the mass for John. He talked about how close they were in high school RIP Father Al

I will miss Fr. Al, when I go go volunteer at the McCormick home and helping out out on the outings. I will miss his chats about the packers. I know he was a Cu s fan and I a Brewers fan, but we always made sure who we cheered for. He always made me smile when we would talk. You will be missed Fr. Al
