Richard T. Eldred, age 70, passed to his eternal rest on August 7, 2025, at Care Partners in Appleton, with his brother and sister-in-law at his side. He was born February 5, 1955, son of the late Russell and Lorraine (Fisch) Eldred. On June 6, 1992, he married Cynthia Goeser.
Richard was an avid sports fan who loved going to Packer games with his brothers. He also enjoyed seeing the Badgers, Brewers, Timber Rattlers, and local high school teams whenever he could. His favorite food was steak and he tried getting it as often as he could, especially on road trips in the convertible. Richard and Cindy went on many trips and cruises and he liked rubbing it in to his siblings that he was taking a cruise and they weren’t. He had a sense of humor and loving heart. He was always available to cut grass and help out at the farm for his mom.
Richard is survived by his wife, Cindy; his siblings: Wayne (Kathy) Eldred, Judy (Duane) Retzlaff, Steven (Jody) Eldred, JoAnn (Dennis) Turney, and Nancy Eldred; nieces and nephews: Jamie (Cathy) Steffes, Cory Eldred (special friend, Aimee), Ryan (Carrie) Eldred, Chad (Bekki) Eldred, Sara Eldred, Amanda (Jeremy) Blackmer, Charlotte (Chad) Kienbaum, and Doug Turney; great-nieces and great-nephews: Melannie Steffes (fiancé, John), Hailey Steffes, Michael Eldred, Max Schultz, Danielle La Crosse, Austin La Crosse, Dakota Schwartz, MaKenzie Schwartz, Ariana, Aiden, Collin Kienbaum, Cole Kienbaum, and Ellie Eldred.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Lorraine; a brother: Francis Eldred; and a brother-in-law: Robert Steffes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at St. Mary of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church (120 Davis St.) in Stockbridge. Friends may call from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at the church prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to New Hope Center in Chilton.
The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at Care Partners, especially Lisa, and the staff from Compassus Hospice.

Richard..I cant believe Im already writing this for you. We had our moments of not liking each other, but thankfully they didnt last long. I will miss you!!
