Robert L. "Bob" Propson, Sr.
Sherwood, WI

Robert L. “ Bob” Propson, Sr., age 77, died on November 28, 2021 at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.  He was born November 12, 1944, son of the late, Aloysious and Helen (Goeser) Propson.

Bob graduated from Hilbert High School in 1963 and later in that year married a Kaukauna girl, Ellen M. Blahnik  on September 21, 1963 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna.  Bob and Ellen were proud to celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary this last fall and have enjoyed traveling with each other throughout the years.

Growing up on the family farm and then going on to raise his family on the homestead, Bob was always busy and trying to keep up with what was going on.  Over the years he farmed hogs, dairy cattle and cash crops while driving truck.  In his later years he traveled the Midwest in search of the perfect piece to add to his rather large collection of treasures.

Bob’s family was important to him and he will be missed by many, but especially his wife, Ellen; children:  Anita (Michael) Loose, Robert “Bob” Propson, Jr., Daniel Propson, Karen Propson, Jennifer Lauer, and Jonathan Propson; grandchildren: Danielle (Nic) Meyers, Braden Loose, Bryce Loose and special friend, Bekah, Brooke Propson and special friend Tim, Kyle Jones, Quentin Propson, Mikah Lauer, and Matthew Lauer; great-grandchildren:  Addelyn, Lucas and Natalie Meyers; sister, Mary Fletcher; brothers:  James (Sandy) Propson and David (Dawn) Propson; and sisters-in-law:  Nancy Propson, Ann Propson, Carmella Blahnik, Kathy Blahnik, Angela Duda, Joan O’Malley, and Jean Blahnik.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Cynthia; sister, Joan (Jim) Thiel, brother, Donald Propson; Sister-in-law Beth (Virgil) VandeBurgt and brothers-in-law, Chuck Blahnik and Theodore Blahnik.

I have many good memories of spending time with Bob, Ellen and their family. when I think of Bob I recall how he loved to visit. I liked exchanging views on many topics with him. He talked in a quiet steady tone but was very convincing. Bob was very welcoming along with his wonderful wife, Ellen, when we visited at their home. Bob, you will be missed. Rest In Peace.
