Ronald W Muellenbach

Stockbridge WI

Ronald W. Muellenbach, age 82, of Stockbridge, died on April 2, 2025, at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna. He was born January 28, 1943, in Charlesburg, son of the late John and Bertilla (Daun) Muellenbach. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and later earned an Associate’s Degree in Engineering.

Ron was deeply committed to his Catholic faith and enjoyed sharing his devotion with others. As a member of St. Mary of the Seven Dolors in Stockbridge he taught religious education for over 40 years, served as church treasurer, was a parish councilman, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was instrumental in establishing the Perpetual Adoration Chapel at Good Shepherd Parish in Chilton, volunteered for the Kettle Moraine prison ministry and distributed communion at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Ron also loved the people and community around him. He was a member of the Stockbridge Lions Club, the Stockbridge Fire Department, the Stockbridge Legion and the Firemen Legion Park Board. He cherished his time with family and friends, especially while golfing at Hickory Hills Golf Course. Ron even spent time on the golf course by driving golf carts for their Haunted Golf Cart rides during Halloween. He loved meeting new people, and would share a story and a laugh with anyone. His care for others extended to animals as well, from his spoiled cow, Queenie, that he had to pet during dinner hours to stop her from crying, to the white cow, Snowball, that he rode like a horse, and to all the dogs and cats he treasured.

Ron is survived by his children: Wendy (Glen) Wolfgram, Kate Muellenbach, Ann (Ron) Holzer, and Tom (Lynsey) Muellenbach; grandchildren: Michael Holzer, Kelly Holzer, Leah Muellenbach, and Rebecca Muellenbach; siblings: Marilyn (Allen) Betz, David Muellenbach, and Dale (Sharon) Muellenbach; in-laws: Susan (Marty) Seckel, Alice Ruliffson, Janice (Skip) Olson, Ann Propson, and Betty (Dick) Schumacher; the mother of his children: Mary Muellenbach; and many nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bertilla; an infant sister; mother and father-in-law: Romy and Dolores Hoerth; and in-laws: Joey Hoerth, Casey Ruliffson, and Rudy Propson.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:30 pm on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Mary of the Seven Dolors (120 Davis St.) in Stockbridge. Friends may call from 9:00 am until 12:15 pm at the church on the day of service. His burial will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Stockbridge immediately following the funeral service.  At the time of the service and following, there will be a link available for those wishing to watch a live stream or archived recording of the service, watch a memorial video, or see pictures of the flowers and gifts given to the family on their website page provided through wietingfuneralhome.com.

The family would like to thank those at St. Paul Elder Services who gave Dad and our family exceptional care and support during his final days.  Everyone from the Hospice team, Pastoral Care, and all the many nurses and CNAs truly made a difference.  We would also like to thank everyone who visited and called Dad over the last few months.  He enjoyed every minute of it.

Condolences

We lived across the street from Ron for 6 years! There was a sense of peace knowing he was always watching out for his neighbors. He is already greatly missed. Our daughter looked out the window and yelled "HI RON" every chance she got. Big condolences to his children and whole family. What a great guy he was

I'd like to offer my condolences to Ron's family. I met him several years ago when he served on the County Board of Canvass for Elections. He was an amazingly sweet, fun guy to work with. He always stopped in to say hi when he was in the courthouse and I am so lucky to have been part of his life, even for a short time. Rest in Peace, Ron.

What a guy! Such a good man and did soooo much for the adoration chapel. The chapel is such a place of grace and healing and devotion. No doubt, Jesus welcomed him with open arms and thanked Ron for all his hard work in getting the chapel running. We'll miss you Ron!
